Help With Windows Install

Ok so i am in long need of a fresh install of windows, but the crappy thing is I cant find my box for xp that has the code on it. So if somone could PM me with a code so i can get past the damn screen so it will install and i can actually install then call them to register it or whatever i would be grateful.

The problem i have been having lately is my mouse and keyboard just stop working (both still being on and shit lights wise) or my mouse turns into a sluggish piece of shit. I have tried multiple keyboards and mice. Could it be my motherboard? i have no clue but i guess when in doubt REFORMAT lmao

You can also do this through looking through the registry and locating it that way iirc.

Edit. I have only ever used the Belarc advisor in the past and it seemed like a decent utility. As always scan any files you download from the internet for Viri

so yeah i just REFORMATED and i am trying to install windows and it says INVALID prduct id.... i tried my own code off the box then my laptops then the one zigma sent me and none of them work wtf? i have reformatted before and never had this problem. I mean its only at the part where i am installing windows not that online activation bullshit wtf am i doing wrong

I have a similar problem. My mom's boyfriend bought an HP Media center PC (it's crap i know) and he had a windows XP key but not the cd itself; it only came with a backup partition and we didn't have the recovery discs either.

8 months down the road the hard drive fries, i get a new one but I have no ways to get to the backup partition on the other hard drive, yet I still have a valid Win XP key.

I got a ripped XP copy off my buddy and installed it. I tried to change the product ID afterwards but it says that the key-code on my sticker is invalid, maybe cuz it's the wrong version of windows?

Anyways Microsoft really made it shitty for ppl that have a ripped copy. I can't install Windows Installer 3.0, that disables me from installing Microsoft Frameworks which disables me to install the video drivers and sound drivers; let alone the service packs.

Does anyone know a solution? I was thinking of downloading the 2005 version of XP off a torrent site. I tried that regedit trick that makes it desactivate so you can change product ID, but again, it says it's invalid.

its not like im trying to hax or anything im just trying to install THE DAMN PROGRAM I BOUGHT 3 YEARS AGO but no dice, i mean i have reformatted onetime before but thats all. I shouldnt have deleted shit, if i had known that it would have done this bullshit i wouldnt have.
