Good:
- The automatic linkshell roster, craft skills, mission ranks, and titles. Very cool.
- The fact that every linkshell now has SOME kind of basic out-of-game method of communication.
Bad:
- The forums don't have any way to keep track of what posts are new/unread that I could see. They're probably sufficient for posting upcoming events, but anyone who has their own private forum already will have no real reason to switch.
- The art/interface is kind of busy, which makes it hard to spot the navigation links.
- The navigation links themselves aren't consistent, and are kind of sprinkled about randomly. Sometimes they're at the top, sometimes they're in the middle of body text, etc.
- You can't link directly to a certain area of the site, or to a specific thread. If somebody wants to do something, they have to start at the veeeery top (login page) and work their way to the desired location every time, which is made even more difficult by the spotty navigation.
- Javascript in links breaks tabbed browsing.
Summary: It's very cool that creating a linkshell in-game automatically gives you some out-of-game forums, even if they are pretty basic. It's not perfect, but it should be sufficient for a lot of people.
The JavaScript navigation has to go. (Not being able to tab or even open in new windows is amazingly bad design.)Originally Posted by rahskala
It also sometimes has pissy fits if you press the back or refresh button on your browser. (Stupid Post data.)
The inability to direct link sucks major ass. (I want to show off the CheatCommands linkshell to the world, nope, they have to stumble upon it.) Also, having to search for linkshells is pretty bad design.
It would be nice if they took this as an opportunity to expand the abilities of linkshells in game. (More than three levels of administration, kicking people who do not have that shell currently equipped, so on.) Fix the problems that are mentioned and get better servers and they may have something special.
Yes, they should have some alphabetical list of all the shells or something instead of the 20 more used comunitys, and then like 20 newest. If you are looking for something that isnt on one of these 2 lists the only search function you can really go by is to search for a linkshell by "Linkshell purpose" and since there is only so many linkshell purposes to choose from, andf the fact that you can choose 3 per linkshell, that doesnt really work to great either.Originally Posted by Septimus
Personally I enjoy the fact that we finally have a forum with a blacklist option.
Wouldn't that be great to see everyone that has your pearl in there box/storage/whatever.It would be nice if they took this as an opportunity to expand the abilities of linkshells in game. I've had my social LS pearl since like few days after release. Not a month goes by that I don't have some random player or asshat that was once given a pearl year/s ago and still has access.
Being able to kick or at least able to see those who still have a pearl would be great. Just an easy way for those leaders to check if someone they had thought was previously kicked, can check to see if they still have their pearl and/or able to read the LSMES whenever they wanted.
When you get this error, click on the button at the bottom and log back in entirely. The server just dropped your session and is giving you an irrelivant error message. I get this often but mine's in english.Originally Posted by Lockecole

Setup is fairly painless, but whoever designed their image upload scheme seems to be a retard. They allow you to upload in .GIF or .JPG form, but they convert everything to a very low quality .jpg, with crosshatching/dithering all over the place... I'd include pictures, but that brings me to the second problem.
The crippling congestion. I don't really have anything new to add as far as that goes.
Update...still getting the error message, except its in English now. Nothing works, clicking on all links lead me to that error message. Could it have something to do with my router or cookies setup? An LS member as we speak is browsing it so I know their servers arent actually crowded.
Java sucks, try a diffrent browser and see if that works.Originally Posted by Lockecole
