Parade Gorget: First Post, 'nuff said.

Does anyone think it's possible that the Goblin Drink is a HQ from a high level synth (cooking, alchemy maybe?) that no one really ever crafts? Maybe the NQ is worthless or something?

Based on a brief scan of craftables at high-levels, I find this unlikely but it *would* at least explain why no one can get the recipe from guild NPCs.

No traditional white outline around the drink to represent HQ, but who knows, my vote is still on it being a rare drop from Newton or Oldton Coffer.

Well... I did my part the other day. I warped to Mine Shaft for ENM60 w/ my THF, but before I went in I zoned out to look for coffers in Newton. Found one, popped it... 10,500 gil only.

Well they definitely contain items. I got a Fluorite from one about a week ago.

All coffer as far as I know have a chance to drop a gem of the day and money. I would barely consider that as an "item"

I find this interesting. Several fingernail and cup purchases by him (the Moval. Water is from 2004, I wouldn't consider that to be relevant).

I swear to gawd but the Parade Gorget thread needs to burn so badly Its more frustrating than a rubik's cube. But was wondering if anyone tried using an EX item(s) in their synthesis. Thought I'd just be an ass~hat retard as I hate the parade gorget and those who keep it a friggin secret.

Just tossing it in there since there is a case where a Rare/EX item can be synthed into just a rare item (Castor's ring). Ready for posters to flame me on this stupid suggestion lol!

Don't have one (and its 4:17 and bored lol). If its not rare, meh, but the original idea is there: ex item being synthed into something else. I'll just drink coffee and forget this item ever existed for another month or so lol...

Dunno if anyones overlooked his post, but Demonsthenese11 might be onto something. I'd buy all the ingredients but they never sell on the AH.

Even if you don't have the skill at a level where you can craft the items with whatever crystal is needed, you'll get the message saying you are too low for this craft. Anyone and everyone should know this.

As for the Goblin Drink being HQ... It could be since some HQ items don't have the white border around it (HQing Colored Rocks or Fishing Lures for example) but if it was I'm sure someone would have found it by now.

EDIT: Just to clear up something on the first post, the Hotrok wasn't added in the same update as the parade gorget.

EDIT2: NVM about when the last gorget popped up, I checked Falls sales on FFXI AH and he only sold two items (Wootz Ingot and something else that's not added to their DB yet)

The problem with Goblin Cups + Fingernail sacks being bought (even by someone with the alleged gorget) is that they are both used for the same quest.

Summary: Find where the Goblins bury their junk. Bring back eight of the same type of junk and Orlando will reward you well.

Nashmau Stew is the other Item on AH that Fall has sold. When I scanned all the food/ingrediants/misc/alchemy/medicines/etc... the only thing I actually found was that stew. Which is a ToAU quest.

Could it be that the Goblin drink is a Hq reward your trading the goblin items that we would asume is needed, as stated reward is less than the cost... so i doubt many people do this quest... if any at all so if it was a hq/rare reward very few if anyone would know about it
