So how exactly did you obtain it from the luck rune in the first place?

I've never done the quest, but one of my friends used to do it every week, and said that he and his partner would always get some HQ food item (like vermillion jelly, etc.) as a reward. So it's possible, but still sounds full of shit to me.

That's no problem. Just tell us the server you're on and I'm sure we can get someone to run through with mrnpc.exe and verify that you're undoubtedly telling the truth. If you really did pop and kill him his packet will be there as 0%.

It saddens me to say it, but I seem to remember an extensive thread on Alla...I mean Zam! with instructions on how to do this quest. I'll see if I can dig it up later.

The Parade Gorget and Luck Runes were in fact released in the same update:

Its one possibility we haven't looked at.

I'll lol if that's the answer, I only mentioned it as a joke because my LS was doing Amaltheia today and as I passed by it I thought to myself "ahh, Luck Rune - the only thing in the game more useless than a pair of Silver Bangles".

I have no idea how one is supposed to make these connections in the luck rune quest. I am willing to consider that Goblin Drink can be recieved as a reward, I doubt that one can obtain one from a luck rune. I believe it would be more likely to get a Goblin Drink from clamming since all sorts of Goblin-things can be clammed up.

1. Talk to Emila in Mhaura and recieve your fortune. You will be given a color, a location, and the title of your perfect partner.

2. Go to your corresponding luck rune.

North: Tahrongi Canyon (H-10)
South: Yuhtunga Jungle (H-6)
West: Pashhow Marshlands (L-7)
Northwest: Batallia Downs (F-7)
North/Northwest: Beaucedine Glacier (H-7)
West/Northwest: Lufaise meadows (J-9)
Far Northwest: Qufim Island (D-5)
A great distance Northwest: Xarcabard (J-8)

When you check the luck rune, you should ensure that you have elemental resistance corresponding to the color you were given. You will recieve at least one crystal.

Red: Fire
Pale blue: Ice
Green: Wind
Yellow: Earth
Purple: Thunder
Blue: Water
White: Light
Black: Dark

3. Form a party with a person that has title of your "perfect partner". Talk one of the following NPC's to recieve food reward.

Northern Windurst Waters: Dabido-Sorobido (E-10)
Port Sandoria: Perdiouvilet (G-7)
Port Bastok: Brita (J-7)

Have you ever completed the quest before?

Did you obtain the drink DIRECTLY from the luck rune?

Were you in a party or just walking by it?

Do you happen to remember day/time/moon phase?

I used to do the quest a lot with a couple other people, and we never got a drink item, just HQ foods like Vermillion Jelly.

And each time we'd finish the quest, each person involved got the same food as the other. So if one person gets a Goblin Drink, the other would too.

Another possibility for Goblin Drink would be the Uninvited Guests quest, since it offers a lot of food and random rewards, too.

Drink items give Regen and Refresh. Eating the Goblin Drink causes a Food effect.

People do the luck rune quests, too. I used to quite a bit, though I don't anymore really. I know people who I think still do it, but they've never mentioned getting a goblin drink. Then again, I've never asked.
