Ok, so I did it with a friend and had him spam the NPC for reward at full inventory... So far i've seen San d'Oria npc and Windurst doesn't give it unless there's some special thing you have to do... btw, it seems like the first time you do it you have to wait 1 vana'diel day, and the next time I tried to do it the NPC said to wait a week ;_;

I have yet to have someone spam the bastok NPC.... personally I think it's the best way to figure out if Goblin Drink is from it. I severely doubt it is from this mini-quest though, unfortunately. Also, you have to have elemental resistance EQUIP on for the luck rune, barspells don't work! A good use for Black cotehardie ^^

umm by the way, that opposite sex, same race crap on ffxiclopedia is very false.. I kept doing it with the same person and in windurst i got Shallops Tropicale, Marbled Steak, Sophic Stew, Boiled Cockatrice, Optical Soup, Rolanberry Pie(i guess +1) (i did it with same sex, same race: Hume male) and in san d'oria vermillion jelly, rolanberry pie +1 couerl sub +1,sub zero gelato, snowy rolanberry, friture misareaux... i saw two items in bastok, but did not get full list... just friture misareaux and sub-zero gelato is all I saw

you can't get anything else from a rune except a crystal corresponding to the color you get from the fortune teller.. when you get it, it says "Today is your lucky day! You obtain a "crystal".... also besides that person is probably like the first AV joke person who photoshopped the titles and said that JP LS just went fishing after they killed AV.. sorry if I offended you if you are reading It's just I don't believe you are telling the truth

i dunno, that sounds so gimmicky though... besides he said he "couldn't obtain it again" so he's probably lying... anybody can do it again the next full moon if they wanted to try it again. Now, the thought of getting the drink on full moon in reward from the NPC, that could be a thought, but it is probably waaay offboard.

The NPC could hold a secret also. I got this probverb from her:

"The proof of an apple pie is in the eating."

there are 7 other proverbs just like this one

maybe the proverbs have something to do with the synth?

*edit* or the proverbs tell you how to get it from that rune?

http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/index.php/Mhaura_Fortune lists all of the proverbs and well, I doubt they have anything to do with the synth and as the proverb section in the article suggests, they are probably just wisdom things because only show up on the second time you ask for directions and the "love and courage will find a way" proverb... i don't know what you can do with that

Another possibility for Goblin Drink would be the Uninvited Guests quest, since it offers a lot of food and random rewards, too.

People do the shit out of that though, I think it would have been found by now. I'd still also like to see confirmed report of someone testing Poseidon's Ring.

Bah I forgot about this, assuming I remember when I wake up I'll ask my friend with the Poseidon's Ring to try it out.
