Actually, (Hob)Goblin Chocolate gives HHP, not HMP. They used to give HMP a long time ago, hobgoblin chocolate was my favorite food. However, they changed it on the patch with all the food updates, food duration changes, and the "small sweets" being changed to 3/5min duration but stacked to 99.

What was the thing all gobs liked and "transform" you to a G/Moblin: a foul stinky whatever. How do we get it: We had to get a special item
from Magriffon ( Opo Opo NPC) for one of the gobs in the junk shop.
When i did the quest i thought we carry some urine with us. At the CS at the Junkshop there is a blackscreen and one of the gob had to do his job... Polutil it, its quite of funny. Anyways those special item had to be used (Providence Pot by Magriffon - unknown material in it, but it stinks).
Now to the Mithra: yes the flower is pretty obvious : Rafflesia, an Elshimo plant and its flowourus ( ?)- the correct word its shining / phosporescating-i guess.
Back to Magriffon, what "useless junk" he gives us at Even more Gulllibles Travells? --> Rafflesia nektar (ex): Nectar taken from the giant Rafflesia flower. Its scent is exceptionally foul.
What did we all , tossed it or sold it at NPC, because glory Alla said so, useless and probably u get some money back you spent at Magriffon.

Thats it: SE normally dont give us EX items by quests without any meaning. Either that is the pop item 90%+ chance or it can be synthed to a goblin drink and the foul scent nectar -nectar can be also seen as strained vegetable liquid- is the perfect item to deal with....
Storyline 100%, scent 100%^^ etc pp
And at the July 2005 update, SE got the special feeling that all chars have to synth ( Goldfishbowl with goldfishset (ex) e.g. = selfsynthing = hint to do the same with the nectar, maybe).
So maybe a lame cooking 10 or 20 recipe with water or its just the missing ingredient the jp recipe never told us and didnt told us becasue SE said so.

When this is correct, its clear why Fall didnt say anything - SE would be spammed by posts to redo the quest or to buy such a nectar at an vendor or whatever. And i think all players , who have never tossed items, should get a present for their patience / coolness / intelligence to wait for the usage of this.

aka Wolfman: wolf = the most common known animal with a good nose, another hint by SE. We have to give him something with odeur ^.·

Now proof me wrong: I can't for myself and i dont have mules ready for this quests by far. And my old nectar is sold.

Side Note :
1st: Seems Goblin Drink was/should be a fanfest item 2003, i finally doubt there was/is a recipe for it.
2nd: Seems SE need 2 or three patches to make items worth it: e.g. Costume kit (NPC quest) and after a long time Bait and Switch
3rd. SE never created stuff as quest reward, that arnt usefull (OK Homemade food by ur NPC, but that is friendship; Nashmau Stew maybe for a later qiqirn NM and im very sure there will be qiqirn NMs implemented)
4th all July 2005 NM's need 1 single not to abstruse item, noone have ever seen before.
5th Sorry doubt the luck rune story, not even 1 screenshot, not one npcexe hack to look it up, even when he wanted to take it as a secret (why?), i know the community, there is always a char up, who looks up, if its recently spawned. So even the poster dont need to proof himself.
6th And thats what i most wondered, he doesnt get his drop, the few posts we had about Ingram and Co always get their Gorget 1st try and tell me what is the possibility they got their gorget instantly and the latest "maybe" spawner failed. And the luck rune quest is done often, very often after the community found , whats going on there --> aka Goblin Drink would be most likely a HQ cooking synth, when this is correct and probably a galka have to be involved as your partner.

all right!! Well, I went on a second trip to the fortune teller quest with the same person (same sex, same race Hume Male) and we went on Darksday to the Bastok NPC... we got totally different stuff other than the Friture Misareaux and sub-zero Gelato that i mentioned in my earlier post... we got marbled steak, optical soup, boiled cockatrice, sophic stew(seemed pretty rare), and something else not drink... well we went to the San d'Orian NPC to see if we could get the goods he had on him... well it appeared he had the same stuff!!!

So, a new revelation in this quest is that every day there is something different and NPC does not matter!! We waited for the next day (Firesday) and got Shogun Rice Ball, Leremieu Salad, Timbre Timbers Salad, Coeurl Sub +1, and the REAL shocker... Imperial Omelette (hidden update anyone??)


Unfortunately I did not try having both people have the titles on and then going to the Luck Rune to try and see if it said "You obtain a Goblin Drink!" like it would happen heh... Please post your results for other days so we can make a list ^^ The Imperial Omelette is another chance in a hint of maybe Goblin Drink is in there!

Edit: Imperial Omelette is just HQ of San d'orian Omelette :/ I forget these are all HQ hehe

I am somewhat skeptical of Goblin Drink being the pop item for Goblin Wolfman. Some of these reasons have been discussed but my primary reason is that it doesn't seem to fit with the other NM's that are forced popped that came in the June-August 2005 update.

For the regular NM's it's important to not that either the pop item is unique to this CoP update, or its a simple item that is easy to obtain -- including the slice of carp.

For the NM's that require specially crafted pop items, they require significant crafting skills and some effort is required to obtain the ingredients. When these items are used, they generate a special message signifying that the NM has popped. The following are taken out of the dialogue files for their corresponding zone. The regular NM's do not have this kind of dialogue.

There is no dialogue for Goblin Wolfman which follows this pattern. The dialogue is in line with a simple forced pop. We should expect that the item is a simple and mundane item which simply hasn't been considered yet.

It has been mentioned that time parameters may or may not be significant. Other forced pop NM's which are time sensitive indicate that they are time sensitive by some means or another. It is possible that the NM is time sensitive and the scrawled writing is always visible.

The fact he is called Goblin Wolfman may suggest he may follow the pattern of a werewolf. The other Goblins, Moblins, and Bugbears in the zone have titles that follow this "man" tradition but don't seem to indicate their job. The .dat file for the mobs in the zone do not indicate he has a pet so we can be sure he isn't a BST, DRG, or SMN (Pre-ToAU so definately not PUP). Perhaps everyone should make an effort to retry items during a full moon to ensure that this possibility is eliminated or confirmed.

Lately I have been working with ideas which might go with the "Scrawled Writing" or "Me Thirsty" clues. Why is he thirsty? Is it because he can't drink? Is it because he has no access to drink? Is it because he ate salty food? What might help him drink? Maybe he wants to be thirsty. Perhaps its a clue he will come out when he is given a reason to be thirsty. Perhaps giving him something to make him thirsty will make him angry enough to show up. Whatever it is I believe it needs to be a simple item that anyone has reasonable access too. Perhaps he wants a bretzel (I haven't tried that one yet but is bought cheaply from NPCs in 2nd+ place Bastok).

Nectar is a liquid, dont forget this, its not honey or syrup.

Thats just the clue: SE prefer those chars, who doesnt toss all his items.
aka signal pearl ( - 5 bondship) and all those 1 Time BCNM rewards. There is not a 2nd try to go and when the refresh effect really triggers at 75% and more health, this is one of the best neck armor pieces for pld (and drk) xp sessions --> more hate = more pld cures, less mp regeneration by the party healer = faster to level with pld. All latents that count for yellow HP and under are BS, because most healer like to overcure anyways --> And this is always active. I personally always preferred pld as tank, but the higher downtime force the most to go with nin and i dont like the oneshot deaths a nin probably will have in the 50-70 level range. Nin need more player skill than pld for sure and that's not always given.

I think, its really worth it, and i will get another rafflesia by a mule, when this items spawns Wolfman.

I knew this situation seemed familiar... kinda like a spoiled kid who whines about being thirsty but only throws tantrums instead of telling you what he actually wants. So, in conclusion, the pop item is Gene Wilder.

I see that people have tried a couple different BST jugpets (broths). There's still a couple more that havn't been listed. I'll try popping later this week with Clear Blood Broth (only 4 hours of farming go + praying for hq go!) along with any other broth I can buy off the AH. Doubt it will work but I want the list to be completed just for completion sake.
