you can have the file point to itself and it works, but it then is un-interruptable until you quit pol. If you do it with 2 files pointing to each other, you can rename whichever file isnt in use and break the loop.

Bit late response, but you could also just delete everything in the file and then resave it, and on its next loop it won't have the script to point back to itself. I confused myself once when I made a macro like this.. didn't think of how to reverse it til after, but its quite simple ^^;

edit the 2nd --> there is not 1 .dat textfile in all regions i havnt read untill now and not 1 quest item or quest open, that could spawn the wolfman, bck to crafting the gob drink or spam whatever item to the writings

Think I've done my part, this was my last hope after i tried to investigate the unrelated titles, there are still some, but unless Matchmaker (maybe its the title for killing wolfman) the rest are obvious not in any relationship to the parade gorget.

Could be from a lvl50cap garrison(if there is one? Nobody that I know does it anyway), and a some of the other garrison items have garrison-only effects on them as well.

Just tossing out ideas, wanted to see if it's been tried before. Beats pulling hair out over goblin wolfman too...

More crackpot theories:
Theres a bugbear servingman that spawns near the scrawled writing. Maybe he drops something/something which is undocumented can be stolen from him after you examine the writing. This would fit the bill for why they didn't want that person to come near the writing.

I was thinking along the same lines given his (and the Porterman's) names and also given that they seem to have water tanks on their backs. I don't believe that there are Bugbear Servingmen spawn points near all the Scrawled Writing points, however.

Has anyone ever killed the Bugbear Porterman? He's an NM spawned by the A Generous General? quest, but most people who actually do this quest seem to sleep everyone and kill only the Goblin Preceptor because all the other NMs will despawn. I haven't tried this quest because I can't find anyone with high enough crafting skills to craft the Goblin Coif (apparently, it requires 90+ leather, 60+ cloth, and 30+ smithing). Perhaps he drops something useful.

My other theory involves the Movalpolos Investigation Quests because they grant key items that seem interesting.

The first one, Out of the Depths grants as a key item the Pointed Jug, whose description is:

A jug obtained in Movalpolos. You can hear some kind of liquid sloshing around inside.

In the third and final Movalpolos Investigation Quest, Return to the Depths, you get two key items, the Providence Pot and Pungent Providence Pot. The Providence Pot's description is:

This pot is said to bring astounding fortune upon the bearer. An object of envy for all pot enthusiasts.

The Pungent Providence Pot's description is:

The odor coming from this pot convinces others that the bearer is actually a Goblin. The terrible smell also serves to keep away pot enthusiasts...

Has anyone tried trading items with any of these key items? It's a far out theory, especially since the quest is not repeatable and to finish the quests you "sell" the key items back to NPCs, but just an idea. I haven't been able to try these quests either because I need to raise my Bastok fame.
