I have been busy with a new (real life) job and moving that I haven't had the opportunity to retest my results then. There were some who requested that I double check my results. I had finally been able to retest the effects of Goblin Drink last night. My testing revealed that there is no +hmp effect on any mage or non-mage job. There is no +hmp effect on any auto-refresh or non-auto-refresh job. So far testing reveals that Goblin Drink has absolutely no effect whatsoever.Originally Posted by miokomioko
so you are saying we are back to square one and no one has any new good ideas.
I'm guessing you have to POS out of the hostel with the drink or the food effect. SE designed it that way.
That would work if you:
A) Could trade temporary items, or
B) Didn't lose the food effect and the temp item when you zone.
And you have to trade a movalpolos water on full moon, too!Originally Posted by Jooeetheplatypus
As has been mentioned, zoning causes you to lose the drink and food effect, if you POS out of the hostel.
The answer was already posted in this thread....
GL finding it in the other 71 pages of nonsense![]()
Acting as if you know the pop conditions is sooo page 35.Originally Posted by shinobi_tabi
So... flame on if it's already been beaten to death, but has this weird little cutscene ever been fully explained?
I don't see any of this stuff on the tested items list, and I couldn't find more than 1-2 posts mentioning this cutscene in passing.

That CS is fully explained by being completely unrelated.Originally Posted by Mord

Right, but the other 3 items... just random cutscene nonsense? Or have people actually tried trading them to Muckvix/any NPC in the area. (The angel skin in particular makes me wonder if anyone actually bothered)
Sounds like it's probably been tried, but not like there's much left to go on.
Just tried the following with no luck
Florid Stone
Lizard Blood (1) (Already tested, but had it with me)
Dragon Heart
Dragon Meat (1)
EDIT: Retarded question, but in that CS who are the two goblins talking about?
Mayhaps try trading those 4 items to teh writings?
Pawnpix and Stfustix are talking about you.Originally Posted by Corrderio

I think he was asking who they're bringing the items to. I think it's Muckvix.Originally Posted by Khamsin
I'm not sure if this would be a good idea, or an accepted one, but if it's possible, can't you figure this out by making a private server and tweaking it to figure out the game mechanics? Cuz i know they've done it before with a couple other MMOs, but i wasn't sure if it's been done w/ FFXI. <.<; please dont flame me it's just a suggestion -_-;
Maybe if creating a private server were as easy as you make it sound..
Well i know it's not like just run a program and boom its there, but I know it's been done. Has anyone thought about it and can anyone help make one if it was possible?
This topic has gone downhill on so many levels.
