Well, I still need to look at other odd items anyway just in case the fingernail sack is only for a quest item.

It'd be nice if those diggers buried their drinks, too.
EDIT:
Juices don't need water, but tea does. So its hard to tell if Goblin Drink would or not, but its not unreasonable.Originally Posted by Corrderio
Ok, I just went back into the hostle and re-tested the goblin drink.
It does nothing visible, and I mean nothing.
No + or - stats
No HP or MP regen over time
No Instant HP or MP
No +hHP or +hMP
Maybe it only gives killer and/or resist traits then?Originally Posted by Talis
but that would be so pointless in the hostelOriginally Posted by Corrderio
maybe once you got the drink from the hostel and used it you are"flagged" for some quest or some dialogue from some npc somewhere...
Goblin Drink has been added in the game for quite some time (Before Goblin Wolfman) and there are foods like that in the game already.Originally Posted by shihei
I thought Goblin Wolfman was added in the July '05 patch as well? Or has the rumor that the Goblin Drink actually came out in '03 actually true?Originally Posted by Corrderio
I tried a couple things in the hostel, it's not:Originally Posted by Corrderio

Yes it is, if you have Pebble's POL viewer the Goblin Drink is item #446 in the second set of items.Originally Posted by Khamsin
Don't worry about a fingernail sack for me Siskind, I got one this morning (no cup for ya though).
don't know if this was posted and i am not up for looking through 50pages+ of crap but...
what does the item description on Goblin Drink(from hostel) say?
If it doesn't say anything about tea you can probably rule out goblin cup, fingernail sack all together

Does an item's position in the dats bear a relationship to the relative order in which they were added?
i.e. do more recent additions appear later in the .dats than the earlier ones, or can they be inserted anywhere in the .dats?
Most people seem to be trying the synths with Fire, Water, and Dark crystals. Which are the crystals ~most~ drink recipes require. There is one 'drink' that uses an Ice crystal, Mulsum. While it appears in the AH under medicines, it is a cooking synth and it shares some visual similarites to Goblin Drink. Both are clear (glass it seems) bottles with a coloured liquid inside. Most synthed drinks have a semi-transparent or opague container, or in some cases a tea cup.
I'm not trying to say it is synthed with an Ice crystal, just saying that there is a possibility that it is Ice. I know adding another crystal to trial synths increases the combinations exponentialy and I know how much it sucks to test with 4.

More recent additions appear at the end it seems.
In the viewers order, items #441-451 appear like so:
Blackened Frog
Roast Carp
Roast Piparia
Goblin Pie
Boiled Tuna Head
Goblin Drink
Grain Stew
Goblin Mushpot
Mushroom Stew
Gyshal Greens
Raisin Bread
maybe by trading one of the goblins in the zone nets u the drink?![]()
Nothing in the chat log that shows it being possible
Add Ambrosia to the list of items that doesn't work.
Corrderio, that .dat list is interesting. Goblin Drink right beside the infamous Boiled Tuna Head. Can you possibly post a larger list of the items surrounding Goblin Drink?? I had no idea Gyshal greens were added around the same time as the drink, both are green and gyshal greens are a vegatable. (In the majority of synth I have tried I used the greens, now I have a real reason to keep them in trial synths).
Edit: And it took 3 years for most people to know the recipe for boiled tuna head, I can only imagine how long it could take for a random goblin food. ><
