    At 924 HP (85%): Refresh O

    Base HP: 1084 ; Total HP: 1125

    At 955 HP (84%): Refresh X
    At 965 HP (85%): Refresh O

    Now, here's the defining trial:

Added Sole Sushi for 20 more HP.

Base HP 1084 ; Total HP (including Sushi) 1145

    At 951 HP (83%): Refresh X
    At 961 HP (83.9%): Refresh O

Basically, the Parade Gorget negates food, and activates at 85% of your HP, including addition HP due to equipment.

951 HP is 84% of 1125, which was my total HP - Sole Sushi.
    961 HP is 85% of 1125.

The Parade Gorget activated at 961 HP even with 1145 HP total, meaning it activated at 85% of Base HP + Equipment HP - Food HP.

    So...

(Base HP + Equipment HP - Food HP) / Total HP >/= 85%

...would be a rough statement of the equation for when you do and don't get Refresh from Parade Gorget.
    Addition:

    Pescatora -- 150HP bonus.

Base HP: 1084 (including HP bonus equipment) ; Total HP 1234

At 920 HP (84.8% of Base; 74% of Total): Refresh X
At 930 HP (85.8% of Base; 75% of Total): Refresh O

Here we note that again, the latent activated at 85% of the Base HP.

Base HP: 1113 (including HP bonus equipment) ; Total HP 1263

At 940 HP (84.5% of Base; 74% of Total): Refresh X
At 950 HP (85.4% of Base; 75% of Total): Refresh O

Once again, Refresh activates at 85% based on the equation of:

(Base HP + Equipment HP - Food HP) / Total HP >/= 85%

This concurs with my prior research, and cannot be argued to be any less accurate than your own based on the "HP difference" between testings.

I would like to have you post numbers. Your Base HP, the HP added by the food you're using, the total HP added by your equipment, merit HP -- everything. That way, I can go through the calculations myself. Until those numbers are provided, I see no reason why my 85% HP theory should be considered invalid compared to your own, which lacks the data to support it.

Edit: If I'm not mistaken, Divisortheory, I just did all four of those tests. If I missed any, please let me know so I can go back and try whichever method I skipped.

Edit#2: Meant to use the > sign, as opposed to the < sign for the equation.

Also, DeadLegend, on Somepage, Turtle Soup is not listed as having a cap -- simply as giving 10% HP addition. It might be best to use a food with capped HP bonus to get the best results out of your tests.

Ehrr, and again, DeadLegend, it doesn't seem as if you're including the HP bonus from your equipment in your Base HP calculations - Food HP as I stated. If not, then your argument against my theory is void.

Already said I was going to test again with fixed hp food, only problem with them is none of them give a very noticable boost in an ocean of 1800-2000 hp. The percentage is negligible.

So far from my experiments I find that this guy has a bug up his ass, and poison pots are expensive on ifrit. I'm in the process of doing divisortheory's tests.

A bug up my ass? All I said was:

    1) Post some actual numbers, like the HP bonus from your Equipment, and the cap HP Bonus from a selected food, so that the equations can actually be analyzed.

    2) Don't dismiss my theories when you have yet to provide any tangible evidence against them.

    Thank you.

Edit: And for the record, I wouldn't call 150 HP as "negligible" as a 10% increase, the extent of which cannot be measured given your round-about data and calculations.

I haven't liked the tone of any of your posts since your response to sephirothyuyx, hence my theory of the bug lodged in your rectum. Also I figured when you said "fixed" hp bonus you meant it had to involve no percentage, and Pescatora has a percentage bonus(with a cap).

    I keep fucking d/cing.

I quite specifically said, "capped HP Bonus," so I'm afraid not.

The reason you haven't liked my tone is because it's slowly getting more and more into the realm of irritated by the fact that you keep posting about how you're right and I'm wrong without providing a single solid number, equation or even a section of tangible data for us to analyze. So, if you manage to do so at some point in time, you might notice that my tone becomes a bit more friendly.

Greater than or equal to. I suppose the easier thing would've been to just use the underline tag, but I wasn't thinking of that when I posted it.

Just ignore, and try to crank out those 4 tests I mentioned if possible Having numbers where some of the variables are zero would really help to see what's going on. I'd do it myself, but I don't have PLD or DRK unlocked lol.

DeadLegend has yet to post any valid numbers. I've posted six tests each listing all HP variables, and I'm the one who gets ignored?

I don't feel threatened. I feel irritated that you dismissed my theory saying that it was crazytalk to create a theory based on that little information, and yet, you have nothing to counteract my statements.

I provided all four of those types of tests, and the results, including the individual numbers for base HP, equipment HP and food HP. DeadLegend provided a

"lol You're wrong! I got 96-97% because I didn't include my Equipment HP in the % calculation like your formula said, meaning that my argument lacks any point whatsoever."

I'm sorry if I'm a bit put off by someone who comes in here and flat out states that I'm wrong, while making no valid argument to prove that I am, and then says I have a bug up my ass because of it.

Test 1 - No HP gear, no food. 1266 max
    Refresh quit at: HP1075/1266 84%

Test 2 - As much HP gear as you possibly can, no food.
Wearing 1691 HP, without cassie since it has conversion which could cause complications. Base 1266+425 gear.
    Refresh quit at: 1272/1691 75%

Test 3 - Highest HP you can get from food, but no HP+ gear.
    Naked1266+Carbonara175=1441 HP. 14% boost with a cap of 175.
    Refresh quit at: 1075/1441 74%

Test 4 - As much HP gear as you can, and the strongest HP food.
Max HP1866 Naked1266+Gear425+Food175, again without cassie.
    Refresh quit at: 1274/1866 68%

I used poison pots to record the exact single HP where the refresh stops.

Haven't really been reading this thread, but I'm going to take a wild guess and say that maybe your max MP amount vs. your HP matters.

I read it stacks with PLD auto refresh as well as sanction, so 3mp/tick.
    so theoretical max now is:

    1 - Parade Gorget
    1 - Auto-Refresh
    1 - Verm Cloak
    1 - Sanction
    3 - Spell Refresh
    7 - Relic Bard
5 - Evoker's Roll of 11 with SMN in party

    Total: 19 MP / tick?
Soul Voice is, what, double effect? So 14 MP/tick from SV Relic BRD.

I used poison pots to record the exact single HP where the refresh stops.
Test 1 - This test concurs with my theory, as the Refresh stopped the moment your HP dipped below 85%, since, by your numbers, it stopped at 84.9%.

Test 2 - Although I think I was a bit too tired when I typed the formula before, I'm pretty sure I've worked out the kinks. Basically applying my theory, the equation would be...

    Remaining HP / (Total HP (Base+Equipment+Food) - Food HP) = %

    Test 2 yields: 1272 / (1691 - 0) = 75%

This does not concur with my theory.

Test 3 - This test also concurs with my theory. Given the new equation...

    Test 3 yields: 1075 / (1441 - 175) = 84.9%

This means that the moment your HP dipped below 85%, again, the Refresh kicked in.

Test 4 - This test, like Test 2, does not concur with my theory. Based on your numbers, the result of the equation is 75%.

In both equations involving gear, the result was a loss of Refresh at 75%. In both equations not involving gear, the result was a loss of Refresh at 85% of Base HP.

However, in my own tests, the % of the Refresh duration changed to always be 85% when I added or removed HP gear, but was unchanged by food effects.

It's noon, and I haven't slept. Anyone who's at least half-awake will have to try and decipher this to come to a definite conclusion.

I am still shock by this. We can tank forever lol. in 2 ticks you get enough MP for cure III to regain HP/hate. That is crazy. (But who really is gong to wear vermillion cloak in a HNM fight yet again the MP regen...)

I was editing base HP% crap into my thing but I got the blue screen of death and my pc takes about a half hour to start up.

Anyway in my original response to you basically all I said was I wanted tests with higher hp, which I've provided, and they do show different results, similar to Krandorgalka's. This thing might have some Max HP Tier system where it kicks in/fades away at different percentages but I don't know if any other latent item has a similar requirement. I can't bump my hp up any higher because I sold my gigant mantle, I could test it with lower HP max such as 1500/1400/1300 etc. but as I said poison pots are kinda pricy and I am dirt poor atm >.>

If flux has ideas for MP tests I could try them out, using just traditional pld gear and /war I can get to around 430 I think but it might be hard/unreliable considering we have auto refresh trait and now we have our shiny neck pieces lol
