I checked Alla (that piece of shit is good for something lol). There's only 4 pieces of gear that fit the description:

    Bloodbead Earring
    Bloodbead Amulet
    Morukaka Earring
Parry/Evasion/Etc Torque ( i doubt evasion skill effects the latent lol)

I suppose it's ok to have +30 MP from one gear and -30 MP from another. or something like that, but since this latent is so weird I was just trying to eliminate as much as possible.

I didn't use high breath in the tests since it's enchanted and somewhere in my mind I thought that'd fuck it up lol

Just curious as to the motive of all this research?

Are you guys in such a desperate need to determine the exact factor for the latent so you can have your finger hit the equip swap macro the MOMENT the latent isnt active... Or are you just extraordinarly curious and have a shit ton of time to kill?

    Gigant Mantle.
    BQ has fire resist-75
    Gigant has 4 def
I doubt fire resistance is the determining factor.

But you want a controlled experiment only modifying the variables to be tested.

Are you sure there's not a limit on how much MP you can restore? (like gaudy harness)

As DRK/BLM with, oh 410~ MP, I used Absorb spells until I had less than 50 HP, and then stood there, and my MP did not stop restoring itself until I had full MP.

Besides, I don't think it's possible for a latent effect item to only restore a certain amount if the conditions are met. That would only occur with items like drinks with Refresh, drinks with Regen, etc.

Potentially irrelevant numbers, but these might mean something to Divisortheory. I'd love to say I'm pulling a hypothesis out of these, but they mean nothing given the seeming lack of corrolation between them:

    DeadLegend --

    Test 1) Total: 1641 (no food) (77% deact.) @ 1270 HP : 371 HP lost
    Test 2) Total: 1566 (no food) (81% deact.) @ 1266 HP : 300 HP lost
    Test 3) Total: 1516 (no food) (81% deact.) @ 1228 HP : 288 HP lost
    Test 4) Total: 1466 (no food) (78% deact.) @ 1147 HP : 319 HP lost
    Test 5) Total: 1416 (no food) (80% deact.) @ 1143 HP : 273 HP lost

    Merryck --

    Test 1) Total: 1084 (no food) (84% deact.) @ 914 HP : 170 HP lost
    Test 2) Total: 1125 (no food) (84% deact.) @ 955 HP : 170 HP lost
Test 3) Total: 1145 (Sole Sushi) (83% deact.) @ 951 HP : 194 HP lost; 174 HP lost to Base HP
Test 4) Total: 1234 (Pescatora) (74% deact.) @ 920 HP : 314 HP lost; 164 HP lost to Base HP
Test 5) Total: 1263 (Pescatora) (74% deact.) @ 940 HP : 323 HP lost; 173 HP lost to Base HP

Easy enough numbers to dig up if you looked back, but I thought I'd summarize them here. I highlighted the HP lost, because I'm starting to wonder if that might be more of a factor than the percentage of HP remaining.

    Come on, brain, think! ...

Maybe it has something to do with HP vs MP.

Yes, Refreshes up to 49 MP.

Apparently I misunderstood, as I was referring to the item only refreshing a certain amount as opposed to Refreshing up to a particular number.

Gaudy Harness isn't special in its effect, its just simple Latent: Refresh, where the latent is when your MP is less than 49. This wouldn't apply to Parade Gorget, since its latent is based on... well, whatever it is, its not based on having less than a particular amount of MP.

i did some calculations with those 5 individual Max HP tests

seems that, the refresh effect stopped when the player lost about 20% of their totalHP (with a low of 19% and a high of 23%)

1641 HP, refresh stopped at 1270 which was a 23% drop from max HP. This put the players current MP at 30% of his current HP (387 is 30.47% of 1270)

1416 HP, refresh stopped at 1143 which was a 20% drop from max HP. This put the players current MP at 33.8% of his current HP (387 is 33.8% of 1143)

just throwing it out there incase there is some sort of correlation of HP to MP ratios

Remember I had one test with 1691 max hp where the latent died at 1272 HP.

I think we need another race of 75 pld to do the tests and compare. Anyway I'll get started now trying to do divisortheory's latest set.

    1) Try with Gear HP+0, Max MP = 387
    HP1266+0. MP362+25.
Wearing Parade Gorget, Phantom Tathlum, and 1 Geist Earring.

    Refresh dies at: 1075/1266 84%

    2) Try with Gear HP+1, Max MP = 387
    HP1266+1. MP362-1+26.
Wearing Copper ring, Parade Gorget, Savage gauntlets.

    Refresh dies at 1075/1267 84%

    3) Try with Gear HP+425, Max MP = 387
    HP1266+425, 1691 Max. MP362+10-10+25.
HP Gear: Tutelary, Rosenbogen, Koenig schaller, pigeon earring, Koenig cuirass, river gauntlets, Bloodbead ring, BQ Ring, Jungle sash, crimson cuisses, koenig schuhs.

MP Gear: Parade gorget, crimson cuisses, bloodbead ring(-10)

    Refresh dies at: 1274/1691 75%

Those tests done on Lightningday Waning gibbous 64%

    4) Repeat all tests with +MP from Gear=0.
    I can't have 387 mp without gear >.>

It might be that the lowest it can die out is at 75%, but I don't know what might change the % it dies at. I can mule for the januwiyah shield (HP+25) but still I sold my gigant so I can't add that huge chunk to my total, and I haven't worn cassie for these tests since it has MP conversion and that might screw it up.

Meanwhile it's hard to believe MP has anything to do with it since the parade's MP+10 wears off when the refresh wears off. The item box description is off. The MP+10 is latent along with the refresh.

and yes I felt like MacGuyver when I figured out the copper ring equip set.
    These numbers nauseate me.
    Parade gorget stole my nachos.

Meanwhile, mithra and hume have the same hp/mp, so if we're gonna take another race's results for comparison/contrast it'd be best to get numbers from taru, galka, or elvaan.
