Takes several hours to become fully fatigued in fishing, it is based on fish caught but still, takes quite a while. Hopefully digging would be the same way.Originally Posted by shihei

Yeah, it's probably going to be great if you're already A10. Those of us who aren't might level slower however, which is not good news for us. I have been digging non-stop for almost a month straight and it only took me from A40 to A30.Originally Posted by Darus Grey
Of course, this all depends on exactly how the level-up system works. It might make it better since they stated they will add more items per zone. Personally I feel the level-up system is just like crafting or combat skills. You get skill-ups on items that are easy prey up to IT with respect to your current dig level. This means the further up you go, the longer it takes to level since the item pool at A15 will only contain at most stuff that's easy prey. But, with more items added, more easy prey items will be available to dig up, which equates to fast leveling. Just have to wait and see.
As far as putting the 24/7 diggers out of business, I highly doubt it. They'll just level alts and rotate through them.
This will be the best update ever.

Yup. It was fun to watch it break most of the RMT bots as back then they didn't know how to get the updated programs.Originally Posted by NynJa
They need to code in IT mobs that you dig up. Oh hohohoho, the funny.
Can someone PRZ post the quote from Playonline for us Websense victims? Thank you in advance.
i don't fish but apparently i thought the fatigue on fishing was alot worse then what it is really...Originally Posted by NynJa
looking forward to these changes now!
nope, now anyone can get to high level fishing with relative dedication and ease, however it is kinda retarded. When my skill was much lower, I caught a lvl78 fish, without the line snapping. No skill of course
I'll be picking fishing up again soon after im done with these last few merits![]()
The fishing changes blow and ruined fishing. Fatigue is gay and "fighting" fishes is retarded because anyone with 60skill or lower and a bot (or ps2) can catch stuff I cant catch at 100 cause I don't have super hand-eye coordination and the best computer.
So fuck the fishing changes and anyone who says they are good.
Get the fuck over it, everyone who knew about Digging knew that A10s were the most inordinately rich fucks on the server.Originally Posted by shihei
Fishing takes about as much hand-eye coordination as riding a bike, and I'm being charitable.
Have you ever fished a Lik? Come back to me when you have. I can do Moat Carp blind but the higher level fish are more difficult.Originally Posted by LD

(ok the couple A10s I know including myself, fall into that category).
Digging isn't as profitable as many other things, its main benefit was *ease* of use.
Spending maybe 5 actual minutes per hour making 400k vs actively farming the entire 60minutes as a THF for 500k...
It doesn't wear you down nearly as fast, and as such you can do it for more extended periods of time.
Alot of times I just spend 15minutes porting around/digging, make a couple hundredK, and go afk for a couple hours.
The major JP digger on my server(Yoshirio) follows a similar pattern.
Its not really more money per hour(its actually less), just the way it works makes it significantly more tolerable.
what the fuck are you farming that you can pull in 500k per hour ?
.....................uh-huh
30+ Chains in Vagrant Story.
Practically the same thing.
Just takes practice and I'm no where near good at this shit. Mediocre at best.
Point being, if you can't catch the really hard stuff, truly cannot, that's really too bad. You have no reason to begrugde the system you say you fail at (not like you fucks don't spam the shit out of squid and sole anyway. yea, I'm probably showing my ignorance saying that, but fishers and cooks have had a firm hold on the balls of the community since '04 ¬¬ </cheap(not poor)meleevent>).
If you are aiming for hyperbole, which I believe you are, um....stop. -_-
I've been able to make 250-300k an hour farming for a long time, as mnk/thf. Though that does rely somewhat on post-processing it myself using my many crafts. I'm sure a thf/nin or nin/thf with similar crafts could pull in similar numbers.
If it makes you feel any better, I don't fish for soles. Blame the bots that just undercut them. I fish for "fun". Which is practicly non-existant since many of the higher end fish are out of my abilities to fish as a human. Its retarded that it should be based on your ability to press left and right more then your fishing skill. I fish only "end game" fish, and I think they fall under "how the fuck can anyone catch those" difficulty.Originally Posted by LD

After many months though, ya just get better at it.
If you never really adjusted though, well that sucks, honestly![]()
