this is funny. My next mule i will make tonight if my stuff doesnt sell. Im going to call him "Stopflooding"Originally Posted by Shuemue
I've been having the same thing happen on Pandemonium latetly. Several different markets crashing at the same time, even NQs that went in 1-2 days are taking forever to move. Been like this for a couple weeks now. I've had to slow down a lot and find other markets to go to, almost everything I used to do is horribly slow now.Originally Posted by Tekki

Crafting sucks now.
Crafting is horrible.. I get 100 wood.. make 8 staffs.. hq 1.. lost 1 .. all nq.. ouch.
Let me spam the market with arrows -.-
Sucks here too. Only way you're going to make money for the next month or so is HQing cursed armor. And if the tier 0 gods don't feel like helping you out, you're fucked.
I've also noticed drastically fewer HQs over the past 3-4 months. Maybe I've been having really bad luck, but I've been noticing it for quite some time now.
ccoking is easy indeed, consumable market can't get ALL flooded like equipement ones :DOriginally Posted by aurik
last HQ i want to do before i stop crafting for awhile is a sniper +1. Ive spent the past 3-4 days hogging archers and im 0/10 so far... Im feeling you there.Originally Posted by divisortheory
Yes im doing tier 0s and hoping for a miracle as well. Unfortunely Im worried that even if I HQ Ill be sitting on it for even longer the normal (yes even longer then what tier0s usually take to sell).
On a side note. One maret that slowed down has seemed to settle. Behemoth hides and products. Sells have picked up but went from 6-7M to 4.8-5M solid.
Went 2/11 on Haubergeon +1 a few months ago ... now i'm 2/36 >.<Originally Posted by divisortheory
Maybe stuff isnt selling because you're selling for too high? /think
It shouldn't be the buyers fault the NQ costs shit, so you have to super jack the HQ. Why don't you people set the NQ's to be worth what you synthed into it so you dont lose too much, then maybe your "HQ" will sell since you won't have to set it to some insane richJPcrafter/Gilbuyer only price.

If you simply tried to sell back at cost it would be waste of tax and an AH slot since it would always be undercut.
My point was why doesnt everyone stay within a margin of at least making the synth worthwhile in the first place, Amemet Skin 500k, nq 5k, hello???? If it costs me 500k to make something worth 5k, you wont see me synthing it, knowing HQ rate is not even close to the price of HQ vs how many NQ you would get anyway, more than 10 SH can sell in 1 day, but *gasp* (unlike Am mantle) it sells for a pretty close gil # as its claw costs, same with nobles.Originally Posted by Tarukiss

A.Mantel is an easier HQ then SH and sells more often thus more crafters attempt them and drive down the NQ market with excess.
A large number of these plus players selling back their NQ usually results in that abnormal ratio.
I am also sure that gilbuying also plays a part. Players who could not afford the HQ are now able to do so and thus pump the price.
Also players wanting signed HQs for themself and/or friends with gil to spare often do not care how much they lose on NQ and undercut to get rid of them.
Thus try to set the price at or above cost for NQ is nearly impossible for non-consumables at this point.
I guess that's the bad thing, but the other point I made is, if crafters are complaining their stuff won't sell (because gilbuying is low as compared to last christmaslol) then they should lower the price, it's just that simple. IMO I don't think SE intended for HQ's to ever cost that much, the avenue a lot of crafters had to sell their HQ's and get rich was mainly because of Gilbuyers, and artificial effect on the economy to make crafters feel "useful." It's most of you(crafters) and I, that all want the GS gone, yet you like gilbuyers because it makes you rich, can't have your cake and eat it too(but GS will never go away, so I guess you get to eat some of it).
Yes amemet mantles are quick money in some leathercrafters eyes. very quick money. Im talking, make a HQ put it on the AH, walk to the MH and its sold already sometimes. With that kind of demand you will have 3-4 crafters making them at once. They also tend to make like 4-12 at once. Multple that by the number of crafters making them, include all the ones people are selling back. Also keep in mind the HQ will more then make up for the cost of makes those sets of 4-12. All this together means you might as well throw the NQ on the ground (Like i did when i made mine).Originally Posted by Koyangi
It will never change either. Its a high demand product that when HQd pays for the cost and makes modest profit. [This is assuming that you HQ excatly on the tier and you are making at least 100-200k per synth session. The reason I avoid these is becuas this is no real way to make long term, large amounts of gil. I tend to stick to the harder to HQ crafts where i can make some of my money back from the NQ and make a decent amount of profit of the HQ.]
Yes you right we have to lower are HQ price but I think a lot of our frustrations (the fellow crafters here that are in the same position as me) come from the fact that we stocked up on product with the previous cost of making in mind. I wouldnt be to upset to reduce my prices, as a matter of fact I have tried to. This is were the bigger frustration is right now. Sure, we have to reduce the prices... but by how much. No one is buying... anything... at all. I seriously cant sell a damn thing becuase no one is making any offers, no bites are happening on the AH, I even simply shout that I have the product and am willing to listen to offers. Nothing.
WOW...20 V claws up on AH Scorpian Harness price down to 4m and SH+1 is 8m. I think like everyone level 72+ is going for that body armor from assault. First time i've seen SH drop under 7m.
Same boat here, Tier 1 doesnt seem to exist anymore for me, the other day I did an 0/18 run on tier 1 cursed. On every 'profit' item NQ's are at such a bad loss that you almost want to just desynth everything. You try to start up some rare HQ lower level items, and sit on product for months. And post Christmas there were suddenly about 10 more high level smiths that seemed to have no recourse for profit/loss.Originally Posted by divisortheory

Cooking/Alchemy/WW for the win. People always need consumables.
I have my share of cloth profits too, as you can see if you search me at FFXIAH. But a looooot of my sales are on my plentiful mules so it's not so easy to find everything I make.
