I have 1198MP on /RDM, over 1200+ with melon pie+1. Typically I can kill one with about 200+ MP to spare (which is another to get another nuke off if I had a fluke resist). If i'm really serious about winning I would try to time doing Behemoths on Ice day but it's not particular hard without that day boost. I think Blizzard 4 takes it to 78% on Ice day... based on my experience, the 3 NQ Behemoths have exactly 6000 HP. That's 5 good 4 nukes. Typically I use...

    Thunder 4 > Blizzard 4 > Thunder 4 > Blizzard 4 > Thunder 4

and that's enough (average 1250 a nuke). I will use manafont the instant I think something bad is going to happen (like gravity wears very early).

My friend can also do the 3 NQ Behemoths with relative ease and he's Hume. He will nuke in +MP gear the first nuke - this is basically a free nuke because after that he'll go to his normal nuking gear. Neither of us have Novio earring. Definately not needed but I'm sure it would help. We both have Herald's Gaiters though.

Regarding the Kaiser Behemoth, you definately cannot rest while soloing it. If you die, you need to reclaim it and just attempt weakened or it will regen. I will use Aspir as often as possible while macroing in as much DRK skill + Haste gear. Typically I'll get around 50, which is enough to keep it poisoned and bio'd. About 1/3, I'll get one over 120+. I use this extra MP on 4 nukes. At the start I'll also have 1200+ MP so that's a good 5 4 nukes just from that as well. Based on my experiences, it has around 16000HP (definately higher than 12000, no more than 20000). I don't use drinks or meds but I'm sure you could to really speed up the process. I think a "perfect" KB fight for me would take 25 minutes flat.

    Resting Gear

    Melon Pie +1 (+2hmp? I don't even know)

    Pluto's Staff (10)
    AF1+1 Hat (1)
    HQ Errant Body (6)
    Hiearch Belt (2)
    Relaxing Earring (2)
    Grandiose Chain (2)
    AF1+1 Legs (1)

+24 w/o Food (It could be higher but I just don't have the inventory space)

IMO, you must have Dark skill as high as you can possibly get it. When you solo Kaiser, Dark Skill and running fast are probably the 2 biggest factors to winning. If you can hit 300 Dark skill I think you're fine. I had 301 for that fight I documented on journal but 306 now. As far as speed of killing goes when you make your way up the floors, I guess that just comes down to your MAT gear and how fluid your fights are.

I don't even nuke in AF2 hat anymore, but use AF1+1. I have pretty much all the notable MAT gear except Novio (genie, mitts+1, etc.). I would definately say those things are nice but not necessarly to win.

I dont really have enough mb for the small one solo

My nuking gear isnt lacking tho (got novio, just need hq body/z.hand), but I dont think I could pull it on 2nd and 3rd behemoth. Maybe herald help for those.

For the big one, I have 301 dark skill, but I cant land aspir that accuratly. I often tried solo (well, blm+rdm), but I can only land 1/5 1/6 of my aspir/drain.

Maybe I just have shitty luck, but I cant land blizzard iv that accuratly either. I'm always using full elemental set for this one, and probably have something around 75% rate (never really paid attention).

Well, good job if you did it legit :D That's pretty impressive.

I definatley nuke in full ES gear on the Kaiser unless I have Seal up. I probably got lucky on a couple aspirs which really skewed things in my favor. I definatley think a well equiped Hume or Mithra could beat this as well if they borrow/have a pair of gaiters.

I was actually posting again because a couple members in the LS I'm in are interested in Nashira gear, but we don't have that many members in NA times. We're currently attempting to run though Temenos with 6 members and everything up until the boss we're pretty set on. I was wondering if anyone knew how much HP Proto-Ultima had? Even an estimate would be extremely helpful. I'm hoping it's somewhere 30,000 or less...

I'm pretty sure all 6 temenos are possible with 6, but I never had the chance to try them. Usually got 10ppl for tier 2. I heard ultima can be killed with 12, but going under that is pushing it kinda. Unless you can do something lame like 10 smn.

Good stuff, I did the same thing on Rdm a few weeks ago.

I won't rape the thread with big pics except for one:

    http://tshot.org/darkshines/limbus/apollyon_nw_7.jpg

I found Kaiser took me 25 minutes without any mistakes (even with gimp rdm nukes), though the general strat and so on was a bit different to how you did it. I wrote a long, rambling post on KI about it which can be found in this thread...might try rewriting it in an interesting format in a while. :z

I saw some pics of you soloing it as RDM a couple weeks ago XD

I would have to agree with your post on the TP moves. I can't even survive one meteor because of lower HP and gimped shell 2, so a badly timed thunderbolt > meteor easily kills me. Generally the only time I'll even attempt a nuke is at that sweet spot I mentioned before to keep it far away enough to prevent TP moves.

While I can't really tell you about Ultima's HP, what I can say is that with so few people, you may have problems once he starts using Citadel Buster.

If you'd like, I have been collecting our party setups for several months. Our LS (LimbusInfo on Ramuh) has done quite a lot of work to determine the most efficient setups possible for each area - even sometimes pushing the envelope too far.

    "Limbus Setups - Various"
    http://wunjo-on-ramuh.livejournal.com/20145.html

"Temenos - Third Floor - Some Observations"
    http://wunjo-on-ramuh.livejournal.com/31758.html

(You might find some mistakes in there like on one entry concerning North Temenos, I skipped a beastman floor in my descriptions. Also, I never go back to revise notes from a previous area attempt, so you may notice that, as we repeat an are, our strategy and party mix may change.)

Kaeko, I am interested in how your small group fares as I would like to add your experiences to my own. Good luck.

Currently we've completed all 3 normal floors in Temenos with 4, 4, and 5 members. When we complete our runs I don't really plan on posting how we did the 3 normal floors.

3 Days ago we did the Beastmen tier2 route (Ivory Chip) with 5 members...

    NIN/WAR , NIN/WAR , RDM/WHM , BRD/WHM , BLM/RDM

Run took 39 minutes to complete with 1 death due to Astral Flow. We quickly killed all the normal beastmen, ignoring the 3 bosses. I believe we had roughly 19 minutes left when the normal mobs had been killed. For normal mobs, the songs were Minuet + March for both NINs. They are a bit easier than the typical beastmen mobs you would see in dynamis, not all that difficult. MNK mobs we just got them to 2hr then gravity > kite > BLM finished it off solo style. NIN mobs we saved TP then stunned + ganked until death to avoid Mijin.

For the 3 bosses, we chose to kill in this order:

PLD (Orc) >> WHM (Quadav) >> SMN (Yagudo)

When you kill 1 boss, the remaining get stronger in terms of attack strength and defense. Because of this, we wanted to save the mob w/o cure for last. PLD was killed first b/c it's defense is high enough to begin with. Leaving the SMN last also makes it easier to deal with Astral Flow. Opened with ES Sleepga2 then picked them off. RDM kept track of Elemental. All mobs were easily slept.

When it came down to just the SMN, we got it to about 80% then seperated. NIN + BLM remained at the boss while RDM BRD and other NIN stayed back (while holding element). NIN solo tanks it ok. Gravity was landed and BLM manafont spammed nukes, kiting if hate was given (away from other 3 members). This eventually forced Astral Flow, NIN died, BLM barely survived. Other 3 members rushed in and finished it off.

We're doing the Avatar tier2 route (carbuncle) tonight with either 5 or 6 depending who is able to show. Thanks for the links. If anyone has any parser data or just estimates of Ultima's HP I would really appreciate it.

How many time chests per normal area did you take (or coin total)? I can see beastman and elemental being possible with less if you take 1-2 more time chest (I usually get 2 times, and 4-5 item). As long you have someone to crowd control and play safe with monster's special, it's doable.

Enhanced beast still require some luck with time chest imo. Were you just going up when portal open, or did you clear everything with 4-5? I know we got really close of losing with 5-6 when we tried to clear everything (minus ooze floor).

Thanks for the tip to beat 2nd beastman temenos. Gonna add it to the first post later.

Good luck with avatar temenos. Can probably win with nin nin brd rdm/whm blm. I'm just not sure what would be the best way to take out carbuncle if you dont pull with smn or /smn the 2 elementals. You can sleep those with sleepga, but they could still be annoying.

Enhanced mobs we did with 5 using the same setup as the beastmen...

    NIN/WAR , NIN/WAR , RDM/WHM , BRD/WHM , BLM/WHM

We were able to clear all floors except the Ooze floor, where we just went up after we killed 1 to open portal. I don't remember having any trouble on it... we won with something like 15+ minutes left. I don't know if it was luck on timers or what.

Final floor with the linking birds we just opened with ES sleepga2 then timed sleepga to land right after they woke (count to 37 thing). None of the mobs were particularly hard to kill except the oozes.

EDIT: We went up after killing 1 on the Lizard floor as well because of the petrify move (no WHM). Yea I know you can turn around but too much effort...

Our goal is not to just beat the zones, but to beat them with a pretty good cushion. The zones should be 'farmable' so things like winning with 30 seconds to go or "you have to have a relic Horn" shouldnt come into play.

Yeah. I'm trying to post setup that can be done with anyone who have normal, but decent gear. I do have a ridill and good war gear, but most war I go with don't, and they arent that far behind me anyway.

Setup I posted are for the win, but I'm trying to maximize coin/AF item drop rate. Temenos AF are generally wanted

Hmmm. "with 4, 4, and 5 members" I take it that you guys are focusing more on chips then coins. Well, we wanted to farm coins while minimizing time remaining (ie. wasted time extensions) since coins are a good source of income. Oh, wait, it WAS a good source of income. :(

"with 4, 4, and 5 members", I'm going to look into that. Currently, with about 18-20 people, at almost every Limbus event, we farm three chips simultaneously. But looking over your post - and given the severe price drop on coins - I'd much rather farm four chips simultaneously and fight Ultima/Omega more often.

Honestly, until your reply here, I hadn't even thought about what it would take to be successful with less than six people in any given area before. We're one of the most efficient Limbus LSs on our server, but from reading your post, I realize that we're still thinking "inside the box". In other words, your post has already done me some good. Thanks.

Ditto standard year-old strategy. Oh, wait, you changed a few things, let's see now...

    1. "MNK mobs we just got them to 2hr then gravity > kite > BLM finished it off solo style."

Ah, we usually just fight through 100 Fists. We always take a WHM - usually me - there to cast Flash with HQ Light Staff+Korin Obi. Usually, it's Cure5>Cure4>Cure5 and the mob's dead. But now that I see your setup, I wonder if we could do more with less. Since the MNKs are usually the last mob that we fight on either the east or west sides, that would work really well.

    2. "NIN mobs we saved TP then stunned + ganked until death to avoid Mijin."

Ganking Mijin is always a rush. We do some crazy skillchain to do that same thing. (We do something similar for MNK.)

    3. "When it came down to just the SMN, we got it to about 80% then seperated. I wrote the following advice, but I can't really recommend it anymore. I noticed that you didn't have a WHM, your NIN tank died due to astral flow, and your BLM sometimes has to kite due to hate. While my own tank/melees don't ever die to astral flow (with the exception of Searing Light), I realize that this may be due to my full-merited Shellra V.

Look at the map from [Simple is the Best]. There are two "Ramp" rooms in the upper left and upper right corners on that map. Have your NIN pull the SMN Yagudo to the spot labeled "BRD" or "NIN". Have all your mages stand at the very top of the ramp that overlooks where your tanks/melee are fighting down below. The height difference will make you completely avoid his Astral Flow.

Hmmm. Searching through KI and even the wiki don't turn up anything about his HP. I'll ask our Limbus LS leader if he knows.

We did that as well in the beginning. Over time, however, we started getting more confident in our ability and experience (with our new party setups) and changed that. Now, our party leaders try to gauge how much time each floor should take in order to maximize our coins from each area.**

I remember in the last few Apollyon attempts, we had to wait an inordinate amount of time for people to get through these areas. There always seemed to be long lines at the entrance, and some of our people were getting frustrated (ie. had to go to sleep since we waited 3+ hours to get into *any* area in Apollyon). So trying to maximize coins from Temenos was desirable. Well, at least until recently. ;;
And no, no one in our LS has Relic Horn, they very rarely claim HNMs and that only started recently, so they don't have the HNM abj either. The only exception is our main NIN tank who has a D.Ring ("this is what happens when NA slack... wtf a JP pick up group kills kb"), but he tanks like a PLD so I wouldn't say that your gears/skills/etc and ours were significantly different.

The fact that you can beat these areas with even that few is already fantastic even if you don't come out with max coins.

Just completed Central Temenos - 2nd foor (Carby Route) with 5 members...

    NIN/WAR , NIN/WAR , BRD/WHM , WHM/SMN , BLM/RDM

Was suprisingly easy. We kill them in the recommended order on the wiki where you start with the water elemental and only have to kill the Ifirt avatar. Both NINs had full fire resistance setups. They basically tanked Ifirit in full fire resist gear except the katanas and did fine (about 300 resist total). Our WHM had I think 116 Barfira (AF2 legs, merits, etc.). Inferno did 180 and 480 to both tanks, much better than the 1500+ with no resist. Mages at the top of ramp as recommended.

WHM/SMN carby pulled both light elementals next and we killed those off quickly. We pulled to same spot as we did Ifrit for the terrain advantage. Tanks received Carol + March songs. All DoT debuffs were easily landed by BLM. I had Bio2, Poison2, and 3 elemental debuffs on it. Around 70%, we had the BRD use SV carol + tanks using osode (150 resist). It didn't 2hr until about 35% and barely broke 100 damage. BLM was subbing /RDM for dispel on Carby.

We finished the run in exactly 30 minutes of the 45 given. 36 Coins and a RNG item. Carbuncle's 2hr is definately much easier to resist than Ifrit's. Next run will be the Enhanced route with 5 most likely.

How long did it take you per elemental with 2nin?

And yeah, normal avatar's 2 hours seem to be harder to resist than carbuncle. I supose they are higher level or something, but we also get hit for more.

Even without osode, or soul voice, anyone with more than 1000hp shouldnt die to carbuncle's 2hour (shouldnt be a problem with 2-3melee). Normal summon are more risky, but with the corresponding bar and charol, I doubt you could wipe.

5 Elementals dead @ 34 minutes to go. So 11 minutes to move around and kill 5 elements.

Grats to the people who soloed KB, I find it hard enough to duo nevermind solo.

    I have a question for all those doing Limbus in low number groups;

I do Limbus twice a week with friends, none of us are part of a Limbus LS. As a result of this, we have lots of chips from various zones but have no way of using them.
Any ideas on what we should do with them? (or what do you do with them if you're in a similar situation).

You can attempt to sell Temenos chips individually to existing limbus LSes ("We'll get you access to floor x for <xyz beastcoins / gil>")

For Apollyon I suggest trying to complete a pop set and then asking active limbus/hnm lses if they want to purchase the pop set off you.

    Small update on our process...

We were able to complete the Central Temenos 1st Floor (Enhanced mobs) with 5 members in 28 minutes using NIN NIN BLM RDM BRD. We now have an Ultima set farmed with a maximum of 5 members on any 1 run. All the runs were killed with a good amount of time left; I believe the closests was Central 3rd which had 7 minutes left upon completion.

I actually had a few questions about Ultima. Basically out of our 6 man group, we have a combined 1 Ultima win, and maybe 4 Ultima attempts. Half of us have never even seen it. I just really wanted to compare numbers a bit on damage...

How much does an average SATA Weapon Skill do on it?

How much damage does a BLM tier4 Nuke do on it (is it 50% reduction like a wyrm)? Heavily Resistant?

Any info would help a ton.

Thanks. Our last enhanced had 10 people, so it was obviously easy. I wish we had less people at time, but I can't say no to ppl who want to come. >_>

Basically, 15 peoples could fight ultima every 9 days and omega every 6 days if they were trying hard. Could probably pimp a LS pretty fast like this in both AF1 and omega/ultima item.

Noob question, are people farming chest before ultima, or going straigth for it?
