Last I checked there were international baseball games every year, but I hate baseball too.
International football; I dont really recall any major pro games, though, US would dominate anyone id think >.>

Bastket ball > rehash of Netball
American football > rehash of rugby
Baseball > rehash of rounders
All reinvented to appeal to the North American market
"because the rest of the world suck at them/can't grasp the rules"
Well at least we dont rename a sport, ruin it to the point everyone outside of the usa hates it and then claim its better than the most played sport on earth.
God id love to see NFL players play rugby for just one match LOL no pads to protect you now fags :D
at least you dont have to live hereOriginally Posted by Raineh

And maybe they're not ruined, the rest of the world just refuses to accept that the newer versions are better. But hey, you say potato
And Seph got it right, looks to me like many countries are starting to play baseball and lots play basketball in the olympics. So really, what are you talking about?
Fact remains... you're all foot fags.
Soccer is the only sport that is fun to watch and play. Football,Baseball, etc. are for pussys.
lol?
Ive seen more injuries in Golf than Soccer, I dunno how you can compair football to soccer >.>
Anyway, Rugby is ok, Galic Rugby is where it's at. Now that is a hardcore sport.
Football is the most pathetic excuse for a sport ever. It is 10 second plays every 5 minutes.. dont see how anyone can stand that.Originally Posted by SephirothYuyX

You need to be in FAR better physical shape to play soccer than baseball, hockey or football. Pro football they schedule commercial breaks and give the players additional rest, don't they? lol wtf sport is that, all the rest you need. I think it's funny when announcers talk about the football players being tired. They hardly play on the field, get large breaks, get MORE stoppages of play than any other sport. Soccer is an ongoing contest that rarely stops and you get 3 subs TOTAL PER TEAM. That means at least 8 players on each side are playing the entire 90+ min and in some cases 120+ minutes. That's more physically than any sport except distance running.

What does the Olympics have to do with, probably, the most popular sport world wide?
I've never really been a fan of soccer until the last world cup (02). Always thought it was a boring sport until I realized it was actually a fast paced game. Don't get me wrong I still love my American football, but soccer is a nice change of pace, only really get to watch good soccer once ever 4 years (lol @ MLS). Baseball can't really hold my attention anymore, pro basketball sucks, so it's kinda just football left for me as the last real American sport I can watch.
Baseball is becoming more popular worldwide, mainly in Latin and South America, but soccer still reigns supreme in these areas.

this guy is in very good shape
Ive watched soccer, and ive even played it when I was in grade school (that can totally compair with pro) and I hated it. I can watch hours of Golf and find more amusment.Originally Posted by edgarfigaro

This may be an eastern side of the US thing, but I dont recall ever seeing a pro soccer court or game ever. Or wait.. is there even such a thing as pro soccer? Aside from the world cup, is soccer even played? I dont recall any state teams that play for any cool trophy or anything. Ive seen a few highschool and college teams, but lol, thats exciting as running track.. damn, thats all soccer is tootrack runners who are good at hackysack.
I remeber a kid in my highschool class say he wanted to be a pro soccer player, he got lol'd at. I dunno maybe you live in a special area, (mexico?) where all thats on the tv and radio is soccer, but here in the US things that sell are baseball and football. The only time ive ever heard an american sports announcer say 'GOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL' was to make fun of soccer.
Excuse me while I go watch another sport thats more popular than soccer, could it be.. bowling, or nascar, or what about figure skating?
Nobody cares if you think football or soccer or basketball or whatever sport sucks. Different people like different things, just because you think the game sucks doesn't mean it sucks.
I don't really watch sports that much but I started watching a few World Cup games and is it just me or do the soccer players lay it on a little thick every time someone trips them? They always act like their foot is broken but 30 seconds later they're running around again >.>
edit: Holy crap sephiroth stop talking before you make yourself look even more ignorant/stupid.
Hard Rock is better than any other type of music.
