as for using mantle in party.. i got max war gear and a 3 STR atk+15 isnt a loss to me lol plus i was already parsing at 38% of party dmg
as for the guy that said he tested on EP.. ya EP = u resist dmg more
the idea of this the more ur dmg resistence is the more chance it has to proc

On top of that as I already said, in average pickup PTs where you're literally dishing out 40-50% of the total damage in the PT and tanking more than anyone else in fights that occasionally stretch... You will get hit, you will take damage, and you will even occasionally die. Even in the best PTs, shit happens, and it happens most often to the bigger DDs. Not to brag, but as a person that has just about all the best gear save HQ Abjurations for my DD jobs, I know these situations very well as I'm sure some other people do.
If you're already doing almost half the PTs damage, why would it matter if you choose to have a better chance of taking less damage and dieing less often in a trade for some attack/STR that really wouldn't change a thing?
