(I also look down on people who start their forum posts with the words "win" or "fail".)

I bet it'd actually help you more to get a bard the horn and just have 5 smn's with Kirin's Pole's poking away at a mob with their 5 avatar's out and the bard singing for you.

Someone in our LS is upgrading the horn as well.

Thus, you can stfu now LoH. Not one in our LS is complaining, as I do the work and put in the time, and i'm entitled to it.. And "Not Kuno" Any job can have a place in an xp/merit party. Maybe not one that gets 12k an hour, but I gotta get em some how. I may as well make the best of it. I'm not spending a couple months leveling up a job I have no interest in playing, just to get an extra K or two per hour for my merits. You only have "no place" if you are an eliteist jerk.

Just because one can accept their limitations doesn't make them any less better at what they do. Can't say the same for those who live under delusions of grandeur though.

About the only way a melee smn will work is in a pet PT. In a pet PT people are pretty self-sufficient. Exp is 4-6k/hr and very laid back. No provoke, no bard, no rdm. BSTs without relic will still out damage you though, and you are expected to spot heal.

i imagine he's releasing after the BP and recasting like 20s before next BP, but that's just my guess.

There are times when its put away. But when you have 1k MP, even with it out all the time that will last several fights.

I'm still contributing in a meaningful way as meaningul as any SMN who never uses their staff. I am sitll capable of using a buff instead of a damage BP if needed, and I can still throw a cure here and there if needed.

He claimed that his avatar's melee damage is helping boost his lackluster 40-per-400-delay dot, so I think he leaves it out.
