You're complaining about justifying one mill on a staff that does something for your job, however are more than eager to spend more than 50x the amount for one staff that does nothing for your job aside raise the base damage of your staff so you can squeeze a bit more out of spirit taker?

Fenrir is free in dynamis and appolyon during darksday with pluto staff.
Diabolos, which has the same perp as the elementals IIRC, still drains MP in the same conditions, so refresh would be required for him and any celestial avatar for the perp cost to be offset completely.

Bahamut v2 is actually pretty easy. When you beat him he always drops a Staff... either a Dragon Staff or a Bahamut's... at about a 40% droprate for HQ.

You can blame your inability to get one because you're in a trash LS that supports your insanity.

An HQ ice staff does not really affect my summoning job. An HQ Fire staff does not really affect my summoning job. an HQ water staff does not affect my summoing job a lot. Why am I upgrading the relic staff? Because I Can. Why did the other two people have one get it? Probably because they could, and to find out what it really does.

Actually, one of the best HNM LS on the server. We're too busy with HNM stuff to get stuff like this done. and I do believe one other SMN in the LS has done the BC and no drop. I'm not insane. I'm doing something for fun. It's, ya know, what we play games for?
I'm just a normal SMN who likes to fuck around with stuff sometimes. (And once in a while, that fucking around finds me something interesting). So I dont have all the HQ staves. Big Fat Hairy Deal. I have the ones that are most important to me, and havent bothered with the ones that I will virtually never use for any purpose. Ya, I probably should pick up the HQ water staff. I'll get around to it. But personally, i'd just wait for the bahamut's pole at this point.

You are like the one and only smn who does not use levi, of course it wont affect you alot, because you're too dumb to know what's good for you, but more than hellbent to show everyone why you should be allowed to melee in a party ( im not sure what type of party it'll be this time, normal or TP burn which he first said he's never done, and later on says he melees in them).
