Well, tbh if I wasnt a SMN myself I wouldnt invite one for merits ... For some reason the jobs that are least useful for these sorts of things are the ones I find the most enjoyable to play.

I'm already well on my way on relic and I intend to continue... Even though it probably wont change much outside of solo and a few other things perhaps. I screwed up royally in just about any place one could screw up, i'll admit it. But seriously, i'm not half as bad in the game as this post would apparently have you think. I'll try better to decide the sort of things that are just going to get me crap here, before I do anything. Then you guys are happy and I'm happy because I get less crap.

So, 821 HP and more MP than before, but not exacly sure how much since the gear i would be replacing has some MP on it.

I have more than sufficent MP to do everything my job calls for. Therefore, the impact of being Galka and having less MP than a tarutaru is virtually insignificant. at an HNM such as Tiamat, I spend the whole time doing BPs on Tiamat. I never have MP trouble, and that is a 100% honest fact. having 1300 MP is just icing on the cake, it's not a ncessisty. If you never drop below so much, its meaningless. Now, short a critical emergency, where burning huge amounts of mp really fast is needed (which is rare for a SMN, at least at HNMs ive experienced), there is little difference between the taru and the galka. My avatar attacks do the same damage, the buffs buff the same, the heals heal the same amount. Lower MP than a tarutaru is a weakness that almost never manifests itself in the course of my playing on SMN. (Almost never, not never.) Also, at an HNM I'm assuming proper support is there (at least an rdm or a bard or when there are any, a COR).
BP, rest, BP, rest, BP, tiamat takes off. Usually rest during this time because nether blast is 50% effective and not wildly worth doing. (Though sometimes we do do it. All the SMNs do the same, and the taru smns do no more damage than I do (heck sometimes I do more beacuse I have merits and they dont).

Post to the contrary all you want, but in the vast majority of situations I find myself in, the MP disadvantage is insignificant as I can perform in the full capacity of my job. This is one area I cant comprimise, you just have a pet peeve of galka. And while I undrstand why you're saying what you said, it is not accurate in this case. SMNs are not curebombs at Tiamat. This is an endgame forum, so lets talk endgame. SMN suck for exp and merit parties. We're already beyond that. (Or at least, I am. I've already admitted the fallacies in that.) We have multiple WHMs in and out of alliance who sub SMN to do the healing and AA the melee, so I dont need to reserve any MP for that.
