I did it about two weeks ago. It doesn't detect Mr. Argus however because when you target a mob with Mr. Argus, it doesn't send it to the server, it's purely client-side. Their target will just show up blank.

    Edit: Devek, you're a moron.

What do you know.. showed the index. I always though that far in there was just junk.

So I was wrong about that.. still doesn't change the fact that my 2 year old bot doesn't use T at all..

I can be in the middle of meleeing and fighting one mob and claim another.

senoska: You can tell what other people are targeting because the server does send you that information, but the bots that most people use (Argus and FFXIApp come to mind) change your target clientside only until it pops so this method is useless for detecting use of either bot.

no,but instead of you saying, lol ur ls reddotted when faf popped after da updayt, you could say, hay guyz y iz ur ls all targeting behemoth even though it aint popd yet???
The way bots works isn't that they'd be targetting behemoth before it popped at all. Do you even understand what you're talking about?

MrArgus and FFXIApp work with the memory, in specific they work based on certain memory locations which are converted into offsets. It reads this memory location until "Behemoth"/"xxx mob" pops into it, and it then executes whichever macro however many times you want. It has nothing to do with people targetting a non-popped mob and waiting for the server to say "OK GO!"

You can't view client-side data of another players client. Can you read somebody else's e-mails if you know their e-mail address? That's essentially what you are saying to do.

The only reason TParty works is because all of your party/alliance TP is already stored in your local memory, SE was just dumb when creating their interface and didn't use the data on-screen anywhere.

Good job not reading the entire thread. It's only like two pages, too.

If it wasn't on everyones client /assist wouldn't work and you wouldn't be able to tell who mobs have hate on.

/assist only works when you are engaged with a target. You can't /assist random people in town to see who/what they are targeting.

Who cares, it's all moot. Taj just proved you do indeed get the <t> from other players sent to your client.

It makes sense anyways, since your client has to know how to draw the angle of people's heads when they have things targeted and such.

You don't have to be engaged to check what someone is targeting, but they do have to be engaged. But I think that's what you meant anyway.

Actually, I know at least on a version of Argus this was true. Argus tricked FFXI in to thinking you were already targetting a mob that hadn't popped. So hitting <t> would show the name of the mob you had Argus looking for, even if it hadn't popped.

Er... So I hear anyway >.>

I'm guessing that those "hosted by imageshack'd" images were supposed to show that other player's <t> data actually is stored on your client?
