Of course I could read somebody else's e-mails by logging into their hotmail/yahoo/gmail account. Are you assuming everyone uses Outlook?

no,but instead of you saying, lol ur ls reddotted when faf popped after da updayt, you could say, hay guyz y iz ur ls all targeting behemoth even though it aint popd yet???
The way bots works isn't that they'd be targetting behemoth before it popped at all. Do you even understand what you're talking about?

MrArgus and FFXIApp work with the memory, in specific they work based on certain memory locations which are converted into offsets. It reads this memory location until "Behemoth"/"xxx mob" pops into it, and it then executes whichever macro however many times you want. It has nothing to do with people targetting a non-popped mob and waiting for the server to say "OK GO!"
Actually, I know at least on a version of Argus this was true. Argus tricked FFXI in to thinking you were already targetting a mob that hadn't popped. So hitting <t> would show the name of the mob you had Argus looking for, even if it hadn't popped.

Er... So I hear anyway >.>
I remember when a somewhat high-profile "anti-cheat" person from Caitsith got caught running this version of argus. Slyde, lol...

    Still doesn't make sense..

Why would it set your <t> before the mob pops? I mean.. you wanna claim Fafnir OR Nidhogg right? Why doesn't it unset your <t> after it claims? If MrArgus is that poorly designed no wonder it was soo easy to outpull back in the day =)

Of course I could read somebody else's <t> by logging into their FFXI account (well, not really since logging in would boot them). Guess my analogy failed.

Edit: <t> and all of those "tags" don't "store" anything, they merely references a certain space in memory. <t> happens to reference a String containing the name of what you have targeted.

Just like how <tp> references the place in memory that stores your current TP (which TParty also reads and prints on the screen for you).

From my understanding, MrArgus and other bots simply scan memory directly for the mob(s) you want to pull, and as soon as they appear in memory they send a packet with a claim action aimed at that target. Ultimately the only thing the server "gets" from the client is a packet saying "I Provoke Nidhogg nowz!", the bot just makes sure it sends the packet at the ideal timing to claim the mob as soon as possible.

What would be the real funny part is if the "claim delay" was also sent to your client, which any bot could then read and know exactly when to claim anyway.
