on topic: the TH in killing party is a nice placebo, and whatever makes you sleep easier that night after a kill is cool... nothing worse than thinking "oh we shoulda let xxx party kill it cause of the thief there"

on a semi related note, thf in ls claimed fafnir and ridill dropped, he was also in tank pt and that pt got kill shot....

its obvious the missing factor people are overlooking are that loot drops are calculated at time of pull

Regardlessof whether TH is a placebo or not I run out, RA stones, engage them for a few hits, and pray lol. Like I said previously, it just makes me feel better (Even though more often then not the end result is not what I would like it to be).

Our last xarc run netted our first blm hat off the NM. Prior to that, it was a 4 smn horn run. We have yet to see at least one nin/rng/bst.

We have had three drop in a handful of runs along with a nice collection of other jobs, but no THF at all.
To be honest I would trade mine to give a friend an assassin armlet.

drops favoring one over the rest on each server.

it was a more sarcastic comment than anything with any solid facts (maybe i shoulda put the rolly eyes on that paragraph too), im far from an expert on TH or how it works (my thf is only 30) -

however, in heinsight, recent kills on HNMs with thf being in from the start as well as being in the killing party has got me, and the rest of my LS thinking there is a connection just as others here claimed.

As for dynamis, maybe we just have craptastic luck, or not enough TH3/4 in the shell (my dynamis shell is different than my HNMshell cause of conflicting times with work, and those members are not necessarily belonging to HNM shells), or w/e
- im also the type of person that lots <200 on anything that drops/gets 100k total from KS runs/always have gotten the boobyprize NM's drop and not their "rare" drop - so maybe im just a bit more jaded towards anything based on luck in this game (lol@me playing corsair =( )

but in all seriousness -- our dynamis runs are really odd.. sometimes we'll go on a good streak with like 14~ AF's in cities and like 4 af's in xarc, and sometimes it will be significantly less..
i'll definately suggest it next run that we scatter the THF's more and toss some in the blm pt etc
we have documented all our drops since the shell started, so it'll be nice to compare when we get some more runs in with thfs scattered about

Yeah I have never even seen THF or NIN hands drop, but I have seen like ~12 BLM hats drop. SMN and PLD are also kind of rare in my trips to xarcbard, but I have at least seen them drop once or twice. RNG I have seen twice... (First one was mine <3)

RDM Hat, seems like everybody has one now. I have seen maybe 4 drop? And I see them around town all the time.

Whenever I feel bad about a dynamis run and its drops, I just think back to the previous day in sea........

We run Dynamis with small numbers (18-ish usually). From what I've seen, TH makes a huge difference, especially with the TH+ items.

For example, Dynamis Bastok: Killed with 18, so we don't totally wipe the whole zone, and we can't refarm the whole thing after the boss either. Got 5-6 AF2 and 270 coins (no 100 coin drops). Had a TH3, and 2 TH2, one in each party of the ally.

Last night, Dynamis-San'Doria: Killed with 20-something. 110 coins, 2 AF2 (ugh)...11 Relic Bhuj though!!111
Only had one TH2.

Which brings me to another question, why the hell are Relic Weapons such a common drop when it is so difficult to upgrade them?

Tarukiss and I are the same server and I would have to say the BLM hat and NIN Hands seem to be the most common Xarcabard drops the least being THF. Never seen THF in the treasure pool.

Maybe it's the server? Our server had a LS that was giving their WHMs M Bodies because N legs and E body rarely drop.

I also heard a rumor that it depends on where you get the glass.
