I started playing FFXI because someone told me about the treant event. I play on PS2 so summerfest was my first event (first real event because adventurer appreciation doesn't count) and that first summerfest with lv1 dungeon crawls is, for me, one of the best times I've had on the game.

This year, I want to see fireworks going off during besieged.

Same. I understand that they don't want to repeat it so that people can't abuse it, but still. That was one of my best game-memories! I want to do it again.

I started playing in the middle of one of the Easter events, and made a good deal of money off selling eggs. I was very sad when it ended a week later, I thought it was something that was always happening.

When I started, goblins on chocobos were burying stuff (moogle cards?) that turned into ???'s in the ground. And there were these targettable birds that flew around but you couldn't kill them =/ I was so confused lol. Still don't know what the event was...

I remember it vividly because the interview with a concerned citizen was basically "THEY CANT PLAY IN THE STREETS CAUSE THEY MIGHT GET SHOT, CANT PLAY IN THE PLAYGROUND CAUSE THEY MIGHT FIND A BODY, CANT PLAY AT SCHOOL CAUSE THEY MIGHT GET MOLESTED" and such, it was very amusing to watch.

I think the new items is a head band and flower. I member doing this event last time and loved it, but the tiny picture for the up coming event shows both tarus with new head pieces. Maybe more goldfish scooping?

That flower looks like a lilac/gala corsage - really doubtful theyd screw over clothcrafters and add a level 1 wearable rare/ex version.
I'd be so emo with my signed HQ version I paid a lot for that has a level 40 equip requirement
Regardless, all those xbox360 newbs have never experienced a summerfest yet, those poor bastards never got a twinkling treant event like we did lol.
Summerfest music at night is catchy as hell with the ambient fireworks going off. I want that in dynamis too lawl.
