I think the thing that actually bothers me the most is how these middle-eastern countries get their children involved in holding up signs of terrorists and dancing in the streets when they capture/kill an opposing country's soldier.

I remember when 9/11 happened and they showed the reaction of people in the middle east...they were fucking dancing in the street like they won the lottery or something.

As shitty as war is its one of the most important parts of history. It's pretty much impossible to imagine a world without war. It goes way beyond 'there would be no America' it would be back to the ancient greeks and even earlier then that. War also brings in HUGE ammounts of money, and also sends out alot.

Hiroshima and Nagasaki were targetted for their Military Operations/Factories/etc. The civilians were never the direct target. Normal Bombings did more total damage and killed more than the Atom Bombs did. War is terrible, and it is always wrong, but I believe that is was even more wrong to use those two bombs.

Anyways, most Americans don't understand why U.S. Troops are in the Middle East, and Iraq. Obviously Iraq having 'Weapons of Mass Destruction' (I hate that phrase) was a lie, or false intelligence or whatever, and I really hate to think that U.S. Troops were sent there because of the interest in Oil. Disregarding the Phillipines, Hawaii, and some involvement in Central America (Indian Conflicts too maybe?), I have never viewed America as an Imperialist Nation. America never took land from defeated Nations and made it their own, they never forced defeated Nations to pay War Damages or anything like that.

Most Americans don't view invading Iraq as the Right thing to have done. Bush's accusations against Iraq back in 2002-2003 seemed to come out of nowhere. I was a sophomore in High School, I never payed much attention to Foreign affairs, then all of a sudden America was invading Iraq. I remember the year before, I was about to head off to school, early in the morning, and I remember seeing on the news that two Airplanes had crashed into the Twin Towers in New York or something, I had just thought that it was a normal plane crash and didn't think anything of it. When I got to school, my P.E. Teacher had turned on the News, he had probably lived through Pearl Harbor and World War II as a child, and he told us that America would be going to war soon. Invading Iraq has always just seemed so random to me, I don't want to think that America's leaders would throw away human lives for Oil, that doesn't make any sense to me.

When I was a senior in High School, my U.S. History teacher told us that she believed that Bush ordered the Invasion of Iraq to take Hussein out of Power as a sort of revenge for Hussein trying to Assassinate George H. Bush or something like that. I just can't see that as a possibility.

I know that alot of people hate America, but I like to think that the people our Media shows with their hateful banners, burning American Flags, beating burnt Corpses of fallen American soldiers are only an extreme Minority of the people in the region. Just like U.S. Soldiers who do terrible things are only a minority of the U.S. forces, but they are put in the spotlight for their actions, and that is how people view the U.S. because of that.

I had read an article about Iran awhile ago, about the government wanting to force a National Dress code based upon a person's religion. Muslums would have a certain dress code, and non-muslums would have their own. Christians, Jews, and other non-muslums would have to wear badges indicating their religion in addition to their dress code, so that Muslums would know who were the non-muslums. The idea sounded very much like what the Nazis did in Germany.

The reason Iran wanting a nuclear weapon is such a big deal is because their president openly says he wants to destroy Israel, and since their religious leaders have so much control over groups that are willing to blow themselves up, it'll be a problem if those groups have access to something like a dirty bomb.

The reason why the U.S. can't just destroy those long-range missiles in North Korea when they're on the launch site is because their leader has the mentality of a 5 year old, needs to be coddled, and even though his country is dirt poor, he's got enough short-range missiles and military size to basically fuck up South Korea if he gets pissed off. Not to mention China and Russia don't want us moving into their backyards so they're willing to basically do nothing as long as North Korea doesn't go too far over the line.

People always whine about the U.S. doing things unilaterally, and then when the U.S. tries to get other nations to help stop countries from doing shit, Russia or China always blocks anything that would actually do something about it.

Isreal gets mollycoddled by Washington to be certain but the larger problem is that nobody over there in the middle east is listening to the side of peace anymore. Moderates and pro-peace rallies don't make good headlines so they're never covered. Pretty sure the overwhelming majority of the Lebanese and Israelites dont like war and bloodshed, they just get thrown into it by assholes with rockets and machineguns and just as much a selfish political agenda as the assholes in Washington turning a blind eye to human rights abuses whenever convenient to them.

A few years ago, I did visit lebanon after the war was over.

You know all the screenshots of the ladies weilding 2 guns? Or the bunch of people who have nothing better to do with their time aside from burn USA flags? Those people are considered as lebanon's trailor trash.

Lebanon is more of a medeterranian country from when I visited, along the lines of italy/greece/cyprus, they have some nice things , people with real views/thoughts/opinions on society and culture, etc, that never get shown obviously, due to the fact they don't make good headlines.
I didn't see any of those terrorists running the streets, or people in vans with guns The only time I did see guys with guns was when we had to travel between united nations Checkpoints.

Israel pulled out of the Gaza region MONTHS ago - that's what all the terrorists always said they wanted. Israel has a long history of going against their "do not negotiate with terrorists" policy and doing things like prisoner exchanges etc; So here you have the Israeli's working for peace and trying to do the right thing, but guess what? Their enemies now see that they are pushovers who will fold under force. So they push harder, trying to extort the Israeli's even more.

Israel is just doing what it should; not taking shit from terrorists who want to push it around. The Israeli's shouldn't be ashamed for anything they are doing at the moment, nor should their people for voting their current leadership into office. Maybe the Lebonese and Iranians should be the ones ashamed for voting terrorists and their sympathizers into office? Did that cross your mind? Too bad they won't, because they HATE Israel.
