So, this will affect you by having to view something that you don't want to see. Turn off the TV then. Big fucking deal. Think about the people that are out there fighting. I think it affects them a hell of alot more.

yes it affects people in armed services waywayway more then me, the average joe. but it it's not somthing you can turn a blind eye to by turning off the TV, It is in every facet of the media and already in people's minds, you can't stop that.

So be it. Start up the draft. I can guarentee, there will be riots in the streets. Perhaps it will trigger the desparately needed revolution that we're long overdue for.

I want the whole world to have a de-revolution. I can't exactly explain what i want to happen but i want this world to go back to nature and live in harmony with the planet etcetc (bai bai oil,computers,etcetc)
That might make me a little crazy, but is how i would like the world to be, living like how the Native Americans did, but worldwide, and that won't happen unless........

and yes, war does fucking suck. However I have the feeling ther's gonna be a draft very soon.

Being prior military I don't think theres going to be a draft, the military uses a Involuntary Call List.

How it works is you signup to do 4 years of Active Duty, you have 4 years of inactive duty after that.

They'll call back the people on that list first.
Then they'll call back the people that are already out of the inactive time if they can still pass a physcial

Also (what they did with me 2 days after 9/11) is call me back to take over a network admin job here at the Pentagon and they shipped the person who's billet I was at to move to Iraq.

I do laugh at home some people in this thread are trying to laugh at the US government and then the whole thing about someone bringing up 9/11.

I was in the Pentagon when it happened, were you? I was there, I lived the entire events of it first hand. I laugh at the people who get thier political and worldly views from Michael Moore and the crap and twisted lies he throws together.

For some people there is safety in conspiracy. Maybe they are more comfortable with the idea that something as horrible as that had to be meticulously planned by a masterful evil government and would only happen for financial gain. Maybe they are more comfortable with that than with the idea that a handful of men could do something that horribly destructive for no real reason, with no real trouble.

And considering the amount of mental retardation that flows out of so many posts in threads like these, anything short of showing people how utterly poor their arguments are won't get through, meaning that the only point of threads like these is to expose how flawed and illogical those points of view are.
