Because Drg/mage isnt good in every situation does not mean they suck. Most jobs are ineffective in many areas. I will Grant that it takes a Drg more time to get the specific gear needed to cross that Ineffective/effective line, but at the same time I will hound the community for trying to dismiss the potential Dragoon has. If you want to look at Dragoon as a Straight DD...yeah they are going to fail compared to other DDs in the majority of situations(Not to say they are useless)....,but there are some good situations where replacing your main healer with a Drg/mage is going to have better results.

Can a DRG/mage remove amnesia? If so, they'd be perfect for imps, aside from that I dont know many situations where a drg/mage can replace a mage/thing with better results, unless you're replacing a noob cure4 spamming WHM.

My party the other day were getting murdered by rushing drub and firespit.

1 firespit took my PLD from 70% > 15% HP, i'm certain if he didnt flash, he would have died.

The Spinner's in Mamook can really pack a punch too with Sickle Slash. I saw a MNK die from them last night when shadows went down. Was so fast, it was like alive > dead.

Actually, what I was saying was that there ARE things in TOA that can take you from 50% HP to 0% HP.

BTW... I wasn't the MNK. I didn't need a raise. My MNK is lvl 15, hence the "I saw a MNK die" not "I died as MNK".

(good) white mages buff, use efficient methods of healing, and remove any and all debuffs that can possibly be removed.

I know outside of spells wyvern will cure poison, blindness, and paralyze when you use a weapon skill. Does Erase handle Amnesia? I would think Drgs would need echos for imps...I know of groups of 5 Drg and a brd getting 10K+ an hour off puks....some come Drg/War some come Drg/mage...so puks would defiantely be a good place for Drg/mage to main heal. I think pts in the upper 60s..maybe 70 tops could easily XP in sea off Dolphins and squid with a Drg/mage. In sky off weapons if you can't find a rdm or bed for some reason a Drg/mage can easily be a better choice over Whm....even 5 wars and a drg/mage would be nice on weapons
