Coming from a melee, so I really don't know shit. But, why would a BLM use Demon+1 for like 10 damage over AF or Yigit at the cost of 4 or 5 more enmity?

The whole concept of 10 damage more per Thunder IV for the cost of 5 more enmity baffles me.

My friend tested out Yigit Turban, with Thunder4 and Blizzard4. Damage was equal to AF hat, meaning that AF+1 hat would be superior. (Yigit would be better for -aga and such.. but I don't cast those as often as I do single tier4 spells, making it a waste of the small amount of precious free inventory space I have left.)

I'll test the potency of Demon's Helm +1, vs. AF+1, vs. Yigit Turban. I'm not convinced that +6INT > 2%MAB. If Demon's Helm is in fact a touch more, it still does nothing more for me, thus a useless inv slot compared to AF+1, or Yigit for the -enmity and HMP.

I suppose all of this matters nothing anyhow. AF2 Head I'd prolly use most of the time for nukes. I guess it depends on what we're testing on. Even a BLM with 350+ elemental is going to be resisted at times on endgame mobs. My concerns all comes down to inventory space.

Because linkshells bring 50 people to Fafnir in order to claim so if a BLM nukes themselves to death they just get replaced by one of the 32 others waiting outside the alliance.

Quicklet did point out that it is still possible to get a very slightly better HMP set (for BLM at
    least.). I'm only considering Feet/Legs/Body/Hands/Head.

    Full Yigit = 8HMP + Refresh(3HMP)

    Optimal Setup = 12HMP
    (Hydra Beret +2HMP)
    (Mahatma Body +6HMP)
    (Yigit Seraweels +2HMP)
    (Hydra Gaiters +2HMP)

In case your wondering why I'm so interested in HMP its because I solo 90% of my xp now
and more HMP means I can chain 5 consistently and quicker. I can do about 7,500xp/hr solo
at the moment...still boosting it too.

Refresh is 4 hMP if I'm right.

SE should of made the idea more like WoW.

    3/5 = 1 tick refresh.
    5/5 = 2/3 tick refresh.

I plan on getting full set Yigit btw, cause it's very pretty and I like PvP.

Here's the HMP list I made for myself a long time ago...

    Back: Invigorating Cape (+1)
    Body: Mahatma Hpl. (+6), Errant Hpl. (+5), Yigit Gomlek (+5), Evoker's Doublet +1 (+5)
    Ear1: Relaxing Earring (+2)
Ear2: Magnetic Earring (+1), Antivenom Earring (+1), Boroka Earring (+1)
    Feet: Hydra Gaiters (+2)
    Hands: Hydra Gloves (+1)
Head: Hydra Beret (+2), Storm Turban (+1), Yigit Turban (+1)
Legs: Yigit Seraweels (+2), Hydra Brais (+1), Baron's Slops (+1)
    Neck: Grandiose Chain (+2), Pachamac's Collar (+1)
    Waist: Hierarch Belt (+2)
    Weapon: Pluto's Staff (+10), Dark Staff (+10)

I'm a SMN so everything listed is wearable by SMN, might be slightly different for other jobs.

Here's what I consider to be the two best setups:

    Full Yigit:
    Back: Invigorating Cape (+1)
    Body: Yigit Gomlek (+5)
    Ear1: Relaxing Earring (+2)
    Ear2: Magnetic Earring (+1)
    Feet: Yigit Crackows
    Hands: Yigit Gages
    Head: Yigit Turban (+1)
    Legs: Yigit Seraweels (+2)
    Neck: Grandiose Chain (+2)
    Waist: Hierarch Belt (+2)
    Weapon: Pluto's Staff (+10)

Total of +26 HMP + Refresh.

    or

    Yigit + Hydra + Hamatma:
    Back: Invigorating Cape (+1)
    Body: Mahatma Hpl. (+6)
    Ear1: Relaxing Earring (+2)
    Ear2: Magnetic Earring (+1)
    Feet: Hydra Gaiters (+2)
    Hands: Hydra Gloves (+1)
    Head: Hydra Beret (+2)
    Legs: Yigit Seraweels (+2)
    Neck: Grandiose Chain (+2)
    Waist: Hierarch Belt (+2)
    Weapon: Pluto's Staff (+10)

Total of +31 HMP No Refresh

You say that the Refresh is equal to 3 HMP. Which is roughly true. So the Yigit set would come up to 29 vs 31. But not entirely accurate.

When you go down to rest you don't get a refresh tick for 17 seconds. (It's probably 15 seconds after you rest but from when I hit the button to when the game sees me as resting seems to take a 2nd lag for the animation). After that you get a healing refresh every 10 seconds. So the Refresh gives you 5 mp back that you woudn't have gotten otherwise.

Assuming no Clear Mind you'd get mp back like so with no gear:
0,12,25,39,54,...(12 MP plus 1 extra per resting cycle).

So now let's see how this works with the first set:
    seconds mp
    0 0
    3 1
    6 2
    9 3
    12 4
    15 5
    17 43
    18 44
    21 45
    24 46
    27 86 (1 tick refresh + rest cycle)
    30 87
    33 88
    36 89
    37 129
    39 130
    42 131
    45 132
    47 173
    48 174
    51 175
    54 176
    57 219 (1 tick refresh + rest cycle
    60 220

    and with the second set:
    seconds mp
    0 0
    17 43
    27 87
    37 132
    47 178
    57 225

The 2nd set comes out ahead in long term rests where the first set comes out ahead in short term up until the 2nd resting tick. If you don't stay down for at least 27 seconds at a time the first set is better. Jobs that are expected to be healers like SMN and WHM IMHO are better off with the first set. Jobs that can stay down until they get the full benefit of their gear like BLM may benefit more from the 2nd set.

Also note that 2nd set starts losing out quick if you start striping it of the expensive/hard to get pieces. If you knock it down to only +30 HMP it looks like this:
    seconds mp
    0 0
    17 42
    27 85
    37 129
    47 174
    57 220

So realistically, I think Yigit is probably the most obtainable resting set right now. Unless you can manage to get all 3 of the Hydra pieces with HMP on them and can afford a Mahatma you can't beat it really.

Ok. While soloing Marids, swapping in Yigit Turban (+2%MAB), v. AF+1 Head (+5INT).

With latent swap for Sorcerer's Ring, and U. Pendant activation i saw the following. No food.

    w/Yigit Turban:
    Thunder IV - 1190
    Blizzard IV - 1140

    w/AF+1 Head:
    Thunder IV - 1194
    Blizzard IV - 1147

Hence proving INT+5 > MAB+2%. Interesting. Koyangi was right on in his argument.

The Hydra armor drops from the Tauruses, that pop from the Eyes along with Kindred on the 3rd floor, upper level (Walnut door areas as opposed to the lower level with Meret and Yurim, those have Nightmare mobs). Our dynamis LS has gotten Beret from them. Sadly, we don't get enough people anymore to where it would make it worthwhile to do a city + Tav split, so It's been about 2 months since we have been there. Currerently we're working on re-winning the other 3 zones so 90% of the LS has access to Tav, then we might do a Tav-only day where we send in 2 different groups.

The key to an effective Tavnazia run is going to be from popping the 2 additional ??? times, but there still isn't a lot known about them except that they exist. One run after someone posted on these forums that they had found it, we sacced through the Hydra and the Kindred to the locations given here, and neither were up, meaning that either A. it's possible that they can pop in the lower areas of each floor with the Nightmare mobs, or B. (and more likely, I feel) they're triggered to spawn by killing a certain Eye or set of Eyes.

    lol@comparing Yigit to Hydra Gear.

I guess when people say that Yigit is the beast hMP gear, they need to specify the best hMP gear that doesnt require you to do Dynamis-Tavnazia, or infact, any CoP dynamis whatsoever.

WTG SE for including the best hMP gear in the game, in a ridiculously annoying zone which (almost) noone gives a damn about doing, and then including something almost as good a couple of months later, freely obtainable through short and usually entertaining quests.

For anyone without multiple pieces of Hydra (lawl) and Mahatma, Yigit is the best hMP gear in the game.

Yigit hat is nice for conserving space in your mog house, and becomes a better nuking option than +int on Bliz4 when the int difference between mob and player approaches 30, in usual situations. Im sure there is a lot of math that can be done to decide whether or not this hat is better here or that hat is better there, but as someone leveling their 6th job to 75, I am over the epeen thing. Space is a large concern to me, and Yigit can save me some trouble (not even CONSIDERING upgrading most of my AF that I would have purely done for hmp anymore). Demon Helm+1 has been stupid from day one, although I went through my max damage at any cost phase too - eventually people outgrow it I guess.
