I've known that fact for a long time. Sadly, it's not on my side.Originally Posted by SephirothYuyX

The sample size is pretty small to draw any realistic conclusions from it. If you could replicate the results in batches of 30+ synths per moonphase/conditions than maybe you could say, "the data do indicate that crafting facing x direction during y moonphase is most likely to provide the most HQs."
What sept said. Becuase there are so many factors that could effect it, you'd have to do tons and tons of tests to be able to say your theory is valid. You didn't do nearly enough to verify which phase is better for hq if at all.Originally Posted by Septimus
If this was to be tested I'd suggest picking a cheap lowlvl synth. Synth them 200 times on lightsday full and 200 times lightsday new. Repeate this process for a month and post results and averages. Takes a lot to do a test like this, but it'd be more valid then the few synths you did. Not saying your test is bad, just not very conclusive.
I synth Sushi to make money, and grow my own rice. I don't really pay much mind to what day/moon phase I synth on, just whenever the rice is ready I synth. Typically I make 6-6.5 stacks of ingredients per session (72-78 synths). 2 times ago I happened to synth on a full moon and got 2-3 HQs, and last time it happened to be new moon and I did 2 tier 2 Hqs, and a bunch of HQ 1s.
I think it is highly luck based, perhaps with new moon/darksday having some effect on HQ. If I really cared about HQ I would make an effort to synth on new moons, it can't hurt any. But seeing the amount you lose on NQ vs. the amount you gain on HQ isn't monumentally different for cooking(I don't think I lose money on any NQ that I make) I can't be bothered to wait for the right day.
