You won't hit for full damage on Fortitude w/ ranged attacks, but it's far better than trying to melee it. Anyone that can ranged attack should when fighting it.

One thing I like that I forgot to touch upon on my last post is the IS for BFNM's thing. I was discussing the IS issue with some friends recently about how they're going to depreciate them after the sheer amount people have worked up since ToAU was released till now. This seems a really nice way and, unlike conquest, always gives you something to spend them on if the items they offer for them turn out to be shit.

Yes, the obvious solution isn't to fix meleers giving the mob 15 TIMES AS MUCH TP to the mob as BLM, but to lower BLM damage.I know lots of people that would rather bring war and mnk and nin and other melee jobs to something like Fafnir, but stick 10 meleers on it and you're going to get your ass winged every 10 seconds. Even something like Proto Omega goes from a joke with 4 melee on it to a nightmare with 8. I don't want to think about Ouryu.
Here's an idea SE, how about you fix the TP system and get creative with the NM encounters. Hey, AE aspir maybe? AEs that BLM can't stand outside? AEs where oh, say DEF matters maybe? DOT that blocks stoneskin and can't be erased so you can't sit? There are lots of ways to make the game not be slanted 100% towards BLM, but the lynch pin of the problem is melee giving TP and having to suck the resulting AE making them suck ass.
Anyway, my guess would be that damage done will be another modifier that increases by 1% per hit to some sort of cap, maybe 25%. So take a wyrm for example, BLM hits it for 1000, take off 500 for wyrm resist, then take off another 250 because it's been nuked 25 times already and has 25% blm nerf damage, so resulting nuke is for 250. If the wyrm has shell IV on then take off another 20%.
Whats interesting is they said Spirits Within would be nerfed too. I thought that was physical damage, but apparantly not. Mijn and Spirits aren't reduced by MDB and I didn't think wyrm resistance stopped them either... I wonder if relic weapon damage like the 10% HP or whatever Excalibur does will get nerfed by this as well...

Yeah, they've always been considered Magical damage. My Spirits Within do like 350 dmg at 300% w/ Full HP on Tiamat/Vrtra/Ouryu/lolJorm.
