That Hydra looks like he spawns on that little island in the thickets accessible through Halvung. I didn't see any mobs there just a open area with nothing around and a one way drop off.

This nerf is worse for support jobs. At least with blm they are usually in some binary state between alive and dead, they also have stoneskin... 8 maxx's in a pt with shiny scythes doesn't look like fun at all :/

a second installment of: "Why not to be a Summoner in Vana'diel" brought to you by The Wonderful World of Nirokun!

1) Nirokun loves summoner, and secretly pwns shit as needed. He would not like to see summoner nerfed because allaka-noobs saw people using summoner in a manner that made it look "overpowered".

2) Summoner has the lowest HP/VIT in the game. Oh, and no enhancing skill. Blink might still be the same black mages, but stoneskin is paper thin. Earthen Ward? Better than what you've got, but you cant use it in those oh-so-amazing solo battles.

3) Bloodpact timers must seem incredibly long to you! Silly black mages used to continuous damage spikes in rapid succession will be befuddled be this block to your damage output.

4) Summoner is a slow job. Remember those Bloodpact timers? They significantly slow down your ability to kill something, and your linkshell too. Waiting a minute to do damage is crazy! Dont piss off your linkshell, play warrior or monk, they do damage continually! Oh and look at all that HP!

5) Leveling! Summoner is welcomed warmly to the PT! Your mp is used for cures, but only as much as cure 3! Your paladin is dying and cure 3 isnt enough? You should have leveled white mage! Ohohohohoho!

6) "But Nirokun, people on BGforums are saying the next job is summoner, why do they say that?" Good question my little sheep! The obviously hate me! They want to see my job get nerfed like ranger! When they change TP gain on bloodpacts and hate accrued by pet commands to enormous amounts, we'll all be screwed!

7) "I've seen other people level summoner and sub black mage, and my linkshell says its a 'nublet' thing to do, what do you think?" My little sheepish black mage, what great questions you have! There are 2 good subjobs for summoner, black mage and warrior! When you sub black mage, you can use all that elemental magic to lay waste to your target between those bloodpacts! Make sure to put "DD SMN, /whm: X" in your search comment, so they know you mean serious business! Oh yes, warrior. Warrior sub is amazing, you can intercept pulls with provoke and warcry before you tank gets to your target and hold it until your PT is ready! What a truly thoughtful summoner you are! Dont forget double attack, that will help your TP gain a lot, and you can use a weaponskill everyfight! I saw a galka summoner with claustrum do it!! He must be skilled!

Plague and Virus stop regeneration from resting (and plague has the additional MP/TP drain). They don't stop regen effects, like the spell or Aspid's shell thing.

BLU spells and what the mob do are not the same. Frightful Roar for instance is 10% done by BLU, but 20% done by demons.
