True. I'm not sure about the Dia and Bio lines, but the damage from the Poison lines is based strictly on the caster's Enfeebling Magic skill.Originally Posted by aurik

If you know total HP then just subract parsed from it and you get the DoT and People Too Far From crap.
Regarding the first paragraph, I am currently trying to find a good balance between accuracy, STR and ATT gear so I wanted to maybe play around with different ones. And it just seems to me that parser would be an easier way to just look at dmg done.Originally Posted by epigram
And regarding my avatar having a great axe, I have no idea honestlyIts been there for a while and a friend made it for me, and I like it overall so for me its not worth changing to one-handed axe.
Actually I don't use many DoT's in merit parties, but would be more interested in dia vs. bio in different hnm scenario's.
Poison II damage is based on casters enfeebling skill? Never knew that
And as far as only the initial damage being tracked in log, I knew that, but if you time when the initial damage takes place and when it wears, say 30 seconds at 5 dmg per 3 seconds, you could derive it did 50 damage... Would just need a parser that realizes the difference between dia/bio/poison to make the calculation, which i realize would be difficult.

I just thought Poison was flat 1/tick for I and 10/tick for II![]()
If your going to use a parser to figure out what str and attack ballance you need, it's going to take a _VERY_ long time. It's easier to just optimize with the existing formula's.
Optimization is pretty difficult though, simply because the range of targets is so large. For the most part though:
1. Osode lol < Heca + Haub < Heca + Haub +1 < A body (all with about 2% dmg difference)
2. Charger < Forager
3. Byakko is crap for WS
4. A good Ridill War will always outparse you and your pet unless you have relic or you charm high DC to EM.
I have low hopes that even with a relic , bst wont >Originally Posted by epigram
It was sad, I worked so hard on my BST, any all my money and effort made me weaker than a gimpy war, and my pet array sucks ass (hi2u carrie of whiffs and funguar of no accuracy).
Byakko ftw on blade: jin tho amirite?Originally Posted by epigram
I think dusk might be better. DEX modifiers kinda suck teh ass. Enter Onslaught.
At least for D weapons since that's all the data I really have, it looks like BST with relic would be doing the same as a ridill war with a non CC pet.
Pretty sure it is 10, since I do that much at 343 skill, goddamn what do you need for that last tier? lolOriginally Posted by Priran
they really need to give us pets that arent fucking jokes.Originally Posted by epigram
Carrie is the "best" pet (length wise, 30mins, can take hits/deal damage decently) , yet, he's a fucking joke because I beleived he's capped at or lower than 70, and cant even decently hit the D weapons.
We need a pet that's high damage, decent speed, and isnt stupid to synth (hi cop pets).
Green raptors would be nice, Sea puks, spiders, leeches, jellies, all those jugpets would be nice if they were high lvl and uncapped.
Doesn't that af2 piece increase Carrie's cap?
/sigh, I was hoping people would forget about this lol. I haven't quit, but I'm in between jobs right now, and it's hard to find motivation to work on it when I know I need to be actively looking for a new job.Originally Posted by Russta
All that's left to make it release-worthy is to make it persist your options so you don't have to reconfigure the entire program every single time you start it, and make it so you can save parses to a file so you can look at them again later.
Just add an ini file, we don't care about it being pretty.Originally Posted by divisortheory
Well that's much easier than the second thing I listed, which is making it so you save parses to a file. That requires outputting the results to, at the very least, HTML format or something. It's not hard, just annoying and I've been trying to find a jobI have 2 interviews at Microsoft next week though!
Microsoft interviews suck :/
If there's a difference, it's very miniscule, because when I parsed with krandor , carrie still did 3-6% that it normally does.Originally Posted by Shuemue
