You're banned logging into POL before windower is really involved.

Looks like they've always been able to detect pos tooling but its in such high numbers that they obviously cant ban them all in fear of losing business. What probably happened was within the last few months so many accounts have been closing due to people sick of chinese gilsellers/lack of cool content from ToA/BLACK.. and so to try to boost the spirits of the few legit players this game has.. they are like...

"LEWLS LETS BAN 2000 RANDOM ACCOUNTS OF OUR HUGE STACK OF FLEE TOOLERS"

and then BLACK came out of the sky and BLACKed everyone.

Depends. Maybe Square did'nt ban/suspend anymore. We have proof? Nope. Like with them 'terminating RMT accounts'. We can't tell, and if they did, they were mules. Maybe it's a square tatic, seeing how it's effective.

Some rumor translated from german isn't much proof, whereas a direct post by SE regarding "3rd party movement enhacements" is.

My thinking is that they simply are taking all the GM calls on people for movement hacks (nothing proven, just that was called). It's possible that they are looking for the "unable to enter next zone" message, but I've recieved it a few times while running away from mobs (y hallo thar truesight trolls), and atm, my accounts are active.

Adding Fuel to the Fire.

I wasn't banned. My main was in Windower and logged in all night while stood in the moghouse. I play Windower in Full-Screen and Alt-tab out. I have 2 accounts, running on 2 PCs which are side-by-side. Neither are banned, the second was not online except briefly yesterday afternoon. Have never played the two on the same PC nor do I use any further plugins to the bog standard Windower.

One thing I will mention is a while back (pre-TOA and then some months) my computer froze and I had to switch it off at the mains. I come back on and I get the bullshit from POL "Please exit viewer next time bla bla bla... some info may be damaged" and I log into the game and my toon is running faster than normal. When I zoned into the moghouse (I was hoping zoning may fix it) my moogle was flapping it's wings like it was on crack. I did /shutdown, came back, and the problem was fixed. I've never had the problem since, even when my POL crashes in Besieged and I come back. Never edited or touched anything at all, it was just like that when I logged on, so I am assuming it's a glitch.

Another thing, I don't know if it has been brought up before, is that sometimes when in Windower I would get my autotranslator stuck on Japanese. It wouldn't be like the specific words were all different, it was one long string of JP characters and anything at all that I would type -from "Yes, Please" to "Newt Flambe"- would be exactly the same string of JP. Other people have had it too that I know of, and it only started happening after the patch that "broke" windower. I have a screenshot to show you what I mean:

This is probably nothing, but I have no idea what that string of JP text translates into. I was always paranoid though a GM would see me and be like "that's JP and you're not JP /banstick". Logging out and relogging into Windower would fix the problem.
