This is probably nothing, but I have no idea what that string of JP text translates into. I was always paranoid though a GM would see me and be like "that's JP and you're not JP /banstick". Logging out and relogging into Windower would fix the problem.

It's supposedly a windower error (I've never had it happen to me). The JP roughly translates to "unable to locate Dictionary" which means that your translator is broken and need to restart POL.

Thats a known windower problem. Just restart the game and it fixes it

Honestly, I'm still skeptical. Seems like something they'd do, ban 2000 random people, and say "YOU WERE ALL USING 3RD PARTY TOOLS", and really have no clue, just trying to bluff everybody else.

That's just an error that occurs when your auto-trans dictionary fails to load. GMs can't see it. (The message says "The dictionary object failed to load" in JP)

So are these outright full-on bans rather than 72 hour suspensions? I can't imagine what SE are trying to do by nerfing BLM and (apparently) banning windower. Maybe they really do just wanna close down the servers. If so they're going the right way. What's next? Banning people for Bazaaring overnight cos it's AFK play?

Yup. Well, it was only a hypothesis, they can be rewritten to the situation. In this case, maybe SE just lottery selected players, or players who had GM calls placed on them, suspended them simply to straighten the rest of the players. Seems logical in theory, if there's going to be discipline, you need someone to be made an example of.

Yes, that's a ban. Basically, it's gone. You can hope they'll reconsider, but ultimately it's gone for good. In this case, nows the time to get yourself unhooked from FFXI.
