A member in my LS got suspended. No hacks, but did run several accounts on the same computer. It says "temporarily suspended" in the POL message and not closed or anything though.

I just did a search for 18 straight known RMT accts, 16 of em were on. I stopped searching at that point and realized SE completely missed RMT on my server.

80% of the RMT dont hack or use 3rd party tools, they just mpk, KS and monopolize.

If it really is only 2000, they most likely simply compiled a list of any kind of violation they can log, (Multiple accounts on same IP, speed violations, blatant ingame chat admissions of windower/hacks/whatever) and randomly selected 2k.

I didn't read pages 14-19 but anyway someone asked. I have 5 accounts. 1 is windower only (previous pos suspension) she's fine. Of the other 4 who used pos/ma/fleetool AND windower. 3 are banned 1 is fine.

My main account has LM-17, along with a "temporarily suspended" message. An alt account of mine has LM-11 along with a "we have closed".

Yes, that's a ban. Basically, it's gone. You can hope they'll reconsider, but ultimately it's gone for good. In this case, nows the time pay for your son's college RMT'ing all the gear you have muled

The three persons I've spoken to from my LS that got suspended, are not users of any hacks except Windower. When they called SE, they were told that they were suspended 72 hours for the use of Windower. Not Fleetool or POS. It was windower, and they were also told that SE could detect it by comparing FFXI's res to your CPU's res to see if you are playing in a windowed mode.

Buuuuuullcrap! SE needs to learn that the lack of a windowed mode on the PC is their biggest flaw in this game.

I'm not up on how these things work exactly, but can they ban for that? I mean don't people who play on campus or in internet cafes or couples who play through the same router have the same IP and can be completely legit and separate accounts just playing from the same area? Or does a different PC/Laptop/PS2 provide a different IP?

Each hardware network connection inside of its network card has a hardwritten address called a MAC address.

Packets sent will contain the MAC address and they can see what MAC sent what info.

How come some people that used windower were banned and some were not then? Plenty of people have posted in this thread saying they use a windowed FF but were not suspended. Did SE just target a random say 3000 people and 2000 that were not on PS2 and using windower at the time got the ban stick?

The "Jx" group, Kayi, Debaiou, Bemoise... they are all gone.

Keenmonkfish and Hogeyaket (or whatever) are the only ones I've found.
