My reasoning is this. As the number of buyers/sellers increases, so does the motivation for gilsellers to cheat, so does the demand for newer/better cheat programs, so does the obligation grow for SE to make another half-assed policing attempt, so does the number of illegitimate bans. Very trickle-down, I admit, but the connection is there.

Your math is right, at least. $12.95 times 2000 accounts equals $25,900 per month. And yes, that is technically "revenue". And we'll assume that there were no mules and it is $12.95 per month for ALL of those accounts. And we'll assume that your total monthly revenue $7.3M / mo figure is accurate.

All of that information is 100% useless. You have no idea what their profit margin is on the service. How much do they pay a month in hosting charges? How about payrolls? Development? Advertising? PR? I guaran-damn-tee you that their gross profit is a hell of a lot closer to 5% than 50%.

What do all of these things have in common? They're fixed, and don't get scaled down based on the total number of subscribers. Take that $26K per month figure. That's $300K per year, straight off the bottom line. That's 3 employees. Banning 2000 accounts is far more than "a drop in the fucking bucket".

Don't be stupid. Losing 2000 subscribers is a fantastically large hit in their wallets.

If you look at the facts, you need windower to run Argus and Fleetool and all that stuff.

Those people are either holding something back, or they flat-out admitted it in-game (big no-no) because unless SE literally pointed at a list of players on a server and said "Him, her, him, him, and him", they have no grounds to stand on and accuse Windower. Fair enough, but recently i've had windower completely crash lately or lock up since their last patch. I was starting to wonder if the POL client had started keeping a debug log of crashes and maybe sent this information out.

I've also had cases where windower caused my runspeed to approach that of nin af2 boots at night even when I was leveling on my newb blu job so I stopped and logged out immediately. That being said, someone using windower only could get banned if it causes the alleged 'abnormal movement' in game.
The autotranslate glitch in chat could easily be checked for by the server and flag people for a ban using 'windower onry' if SE's server coders arent completely worthless.
