Question, how do you deactivate your account? Lol
Do you just deactivate content IDs or something?

I just came home from work to this 30 page topic, all I gotta say is 2 PC's ftw.
Or write a program to send keystrokes over your home network from your laptop to specific programs running in the background on the computer FFXI is running on. Set up a form with the various buttons you'd need, then have each one send the appropriate number of tabs and enters to hit the corresponding buttons on the background apps running under FFXI.Originally Posted by Kross

Someone cfh a nidhogg to distract the posters while I catch up!
So your account was closed, and then you tried later and could log in?Originally Posted by Raineer
That's probably the reason it was changed to temp. From the people I've heard who got banned, they've been suspended before. Something funny I noticed is that people who use fleetool get caught while people who only use POSing don't. I guess POSing is harder to detect. Also tells me GMs have shittyass tools at their disposal if all they can do to catch people is watch them fleeing around.Originally Posted by Raineer
I've always felt SE is just covering up for being lazy and not wanting to deal with everything that's involved in restoring all the device objects when exclusive access to the device is lost. If they really felt that forcing the app to run full-screen would reduce the number of hacks, then they're incredibly retarded. Hell, look at the bullshit they're in now, having to ban their users who more than likely wanted to use their PC and OS for what they were designed to do: multi-task, and beyond that weren't doing any sort of malicious activities (as they so carelessly accused all people using 3rd party tools of doing in their news bulletin.)Originally Posted by MisterBob
No I can't login still but it went from "your account is closed" and talking to a web chat rep and them saying "your letter is in the mail, bye" to trying to login and seeing "your account is temporarily suspended"Originally Posted by Airshort7

I come back from the gym and this post is +10 pages. This is even faster than the BLM Nerf thread.
Anyway, thanks to the people who replied to my earlier questions.
I just logged into the game and a friend and I did some /sea for gilsellers. Of the few names we can recall they do appear to be offline at the moment. Woaigirl being the biggest name I can think of at the moment who isn't on. Sumdeg wasn't on the game a few minutes ago but has since logged on though and they run with Woaigirl pretty often. However there is a party in Den of Rancor that has 4 unanon lvl 72 rank 1 Sandorians in a party together. Makes me think this wasn't against the gilsellers on this server at least.

Letter in the mail means you are done for good. When I got banned for holding Fafnir for 3hrs, that's what I was told. What fucking pisses me off is that the migard gil sellers who POS/flee to Orc god, sky, cassie are still online. I once called a GM and said "Hey orc gods last window is in 20min, when it pops these people (I named all 10 gil seller names) will be using POS to warp up to the the ledge to kill it, and flee to to claim. The GM said ok and we watched.
The gil sellers did exactly that, and he said later that he didn't see anything wrong.
To all those people out there, take this from me. I stopped using all that shit. It's not worth losing all your hardwork of almost 3yrs to get to DA or w/e faster.
Edit- what happens is they temp-close your account. Then it's sent to Japan (lol it's true), were the account managers review the suspension. I was told that if it's sent to Japan for review, you are pretty much done. My account was temp- close, then I checked the next day after Japan business hours were over(so like 5-6am EST), my account was closed for good
