and I didnt do jack on em!
Pretty sure they had warnings on them for one reason or another and SE just banned/suspended them
which is reallly nonsense
also I highly doubt they can detect windower...
ban accounts that had numerous warnings and suspended accounts that had low warnings for 3rd party programs and blame it on windower cuz if they used tio use those programs more then likely there using windower and SE has there alibai/excuse for flexing muscle and trying to scare people into not using it...
its like the old cop bringin in a baggie of hair to try and scare a confession out of you
Wow, didn't think they were going that far back. I'd say half the game population is fucked if they continue to check older logs or whatever they're doing.Originally Posted by bulk
My friend recently got banned for MPKing the Gilsellers in sky[wtf??] well, he came back and not even 30min later he got kicked off and suspended.
Is SE just randomly picking accounts to ban?? This is some fucked up shit.

That's after the patch, supposedly when they will break windower againOriginally Posted by Ithorien
Secondhand knowledge and unconfirmed, but I've been told the recipient of the QM'd Ridill on the "Tame Phoenix Drama" thread got hit with a perma.
Karma?
In retrospect:
A) Best case scenario would be to leave it as PS2 only.
B) Second best case scenario would be to allow the PC version to be windowed normally.
I don't blame regular folks for wanting to look at something other than FFXI while they're logged in, but that led to bots and warp hacks, which are clearly bad, and things like seeing other people's TP and alliance MP, which just puts those that do have those programs at a minor advantage over those that do.
Oh well. C'est le vie.
Wow, lol owned by a GM.
You missed the best case scenario. Code the fucking client and protocol properly, so that it'd be extremely difficult to write bots/hacks.
hi2u encryption!
play on xbox360 nubz XBOX ROX
Remember guys, Diablo II is UNHACKABLE!!
Maybe, but they'll always be someone out there who can break it, unless you feel like paying $25 a month so a videogame can have military encryption. If the game could be windowed, it wouldn't be much of an issue for most people. If it wasn't on PC, it wouldn't be for anyone.Originally Posted by Shuemue

Download teamspeak overlay and use it for an idea of how my first vokebot worked.. bots and warp hacks predate the windower by a long shot my friend.
Beyond that.. look at it this way. The more prevelant cheats are the more people get stuff.. much better than the old days when they were rare and certain groups got everything.
10 gil they ninja nerfed /console's undetectabilty
The point is downloading a simple windower is getting something for a minor convenience that doesn't effect gameplay at all (as far as it's the same as someone playing on PS2 next to a computer). But when windower begins to come standard with little bells and whistles that give you advantages in-game (the aforementioned TP and MP in alliance, the maps), it makes it that much more tempting (and easy) to download less savory tricks.Originally Posted by Devek
If the thing had a windower in the first place, most people wouldn't bother with downloading any other program...and if you're one of the people that would bother well....that's why you're banned (or in fear of being banned).
