Obviously you guys have not thought about how much they make in a month, year, in the 3-4 years FFXI has been released in the USA.

Lets estimate that there are roughly 2,500 people on all servers. Paying $12 a month. That's 32 servers (Excluded Test server.) each having 2,500 people paying $12 a month. So, whip out your calculators because 32 x 2,500 x 12 = $960,000 a month that SE is recieving from the players. So, what would 2,000 accounts being banned show? 32 x 2,500 - 2,000 x 12 = $936,000 a month that SE recieves already. SE does not loose money for anyone they ban. Simply because they already make an incredible amount monthly.

And judging by what I see, those who quit this game, tend to come back given a few months or a year. So lose customers? Maybe. Lose money? Hell no.

If 2500 people were gone, so many more would quit because a large part of why people still play are for their friends. This would ruin the USA subscription base and in turn make it so the AC would be taken EVERY day Besieged happened during that time. They've made this game dependent on more than one time zone now, so fucking over an entire group isn't in their best interests. I bet you some JP's would be pissed if they lost the AC every few days because no one played during certain hours. That'd practically ruin ToAU and reduce it to just an ok expansion.

2. One thing suprises me. SE knows that there's a HUGE demand for Windowed mode - people want to read e-mail while waiting for party, use IMs, browse FFXI related sites (like BG, Alla, Somepage, Wiki, KI, GuildPortal) etc.

Why don't they put "Enable Windowed Mode" to the whole game? There actually is already in POL Windowed option - so why not the whole app??? People who use Windower JUST to have windowed mode will be happy, SE will have control over application, there will be no drama - it would just be better. People who want to use hacks/bots/scripts etc will ALWAYS find a way. Windowed mode is not a crime - it's just a simple community demand.

Because it's their contention that running the game in windowed mode will open the door for users to use third-party cheats, which isn't entirely off base.
