Lots of these attemps with the weapons are people just smacking it with two or three jobs, yet I seem to remember the first LS to beat AV (forget if it was a legit kill or a wall kill) smacking AV with a WHM using the corresponding weapon. So..I'm not sure if you can individually lock his 2-hours or if all seven jobs and corresponding weapons have to be on him at all times.

Some AV Facts:

Map's ls was not the first ls to kill AV(they were the first nas to get drops I believe).

Only 1 ls has beaten it without using the wall of justice.

Many people have thought they figured out how to lock its 2hrs including people who have killed av, and have been unsuccessful in re-locking them in future attempts, including Map's ls. You'd think people who locked the 2hrs in the first place would be smart enough to lock them again if it were as simple as having the same weapons/jobs engaged with a jailer weapon

No they arent adding new merit things. No they arent 'completing' jobs.

And dont whine about the BLM 'nerf'. It doesnt TOUCH BLM as a job, it smashes the 'strategy' of tossing BLMs at it. Unlike the RNG nerf, 2 BLMs will be completely fine.

Besieged is fun and new NMs will make it more fun.

Beseiged was fun for like the first 2 weeks, now its just annoying...

Remora was really good at it, now no one cares due to lag, mobs that take forever to kill and ACs that get lost every time (Inorite, thats what we get for leaving Xboxers in charge of Al Zhabi)

so for a beseiged to get tougher and add NMs to it...

may as well make tele-points cuz that AC is never around long enough to enjoy....

although its funny to use the free warp taru and lan in Jugnar Forest

Interesting so many other shells popped him today. After Seashell's 8th JoL, AV popped for our 6th time. I had purchased a dozen powder boots in order to cycle them and kite him around to test theories. I was able to kite him from his spawn, to Jailer of Hope Updraft, and held him roughly 10 minutes at a time. Really concluded nothing interesting, except his Meikyo Shisui.

After a miekyo, we had though for some time that his abilities and spells were locked, because he wasn't using them. Turns out, it was because he was trying to spam Explosive Impulse (his meikyo ws), and was obviously not in range. Several times I got the message "AV tried to use Explosive Impulse, but Map is out of range." During the 20 or so minutes kited like this, he didn't use any spells or abilities. Once he eventually used his third ws though, he resumed beating the crap out of me.

We eventually went all out, having everyone spam abilities and 2 hours, and got him to 98% before giving up. During that time we were engaged, he (in this order) 100 fisted, Invincibled, Called Wyvern and then Mighty Striked. During the time he was kited, he used chainspell, manafont meikyo and soul voice, but never saw benediction, ees, bw, or mijin.

So while being kited, he never used benediction. However, during the time you were engaged without kiting, did he ever use benediction? You mention 100 Fists and Invincible... Benediction should have been next. The EES, BW, and Mijin you mentioned that he did not use while being kited, should also have appeared with some of those 2hours you said he did while you were engaged. They didn't appear then, either?

I'd assume Benediction is triggered differently, via HP or something. I think its pretty obvious a 2hour which increases HP to max wouldnt just be spammed the same as the other 2hours.

i've seen him bene for 0 hp as well, but there was no benediction at all. Nor the other ones I mentioned, while kiting or while engaged.
