Beware the Wamoura

These appear to be true sight. Only fought one, and it used a Diaga+damage move twice. Dropped a wamoura scale.

They somehow drain your MP just by being next to it....
our party got aggro on way to troll camp. Even though i was on BLM i was standing fairly close up to rest of party cause of possible troll aggro... my MP somehow slowly drained off to 90 from 800 or so.. i was shocked.. moved further out and it seemed to stop...

This have nice screwed some BLM solo / manaburn spots =(

Just finished a four-man manaburn up by the Dahak in Mount Zhayolm. BLM BLM BLM RDM and we had little problem taking down the IT++ versions of these.

Although they are extremely resistant to fire (Fire IV did 50~ damage each time) regular nukes take them down no problems, and they are susceptible to Sleep and Gravity.

We were up there a good few hours and never experienced this MP drain that others talk about, although it uses a TP move (I think) called Exervation or something similar that restores about 1500 HP to it.

I solo'd one for fun, took it down to about 50% and ran out of MP and ran for my life, lol. Didn't seem so difficult. None of my nukes resisted, only used Bliz and Thunder tho. Grav, Sleep and Bind all stuck easy. Just have a bunch of HP for one BLM to solo.

well my party was a standard party set up so we were meleeing it and giving it tp... i checked my log for any of the TP moves it used followed by some message about MP drainage, but nothing was there, but its safe to assume its something to do with one of its TP moves.. Anyway im pretty scared of these things, and going to the execution Chamber for my AF2 fight was scarey having to go past so many =(

Not sure if anyone noticed, but Wamoura will pop from Wamoura Princes in Zhayolm that have been up a long time.

I was trying to solo my BLU AF and a Wamoura Prince standing next to me displayed an exploding animation; it depopped and a second or two later a Wamoura popped in its place.

Just like butterflies. Someone on another post reported they were only up at night, which i didn't get to check myself. Since butterflies only live 1 day in real life, that wouldn't be illogical. Any clue if they ever depop to let "young" wamouras pop again ?

they were up in bright daylight when i went for BLU AF2.... dozens of them

Maybe, there were only 4-5 Wamoura in the whole zone up and unless they need to stay up for a very long time, or someone was farming them, it would explain why.

The night thing is completely wrong as I went in the middle of the day.
