Playing with it right now...MP Drain and proc rate is pretty low(Like 5-10 MP per proc), BUT it's still the best damage/delay you can get on a sword aside from Shiva's Shotel for BLU. So it's still a great weapon.Originally Posted by Excalin Garisk

Yeah, Leech Scimitar is really good stats for its level but proc rate is sucking pretty bad... I'm seeing 4~8mp per seldom drain from my friend who just got it. (unless Cythe is you! ;O!)Originally Posted by Cythe

Anyhow, yeah, my friend BLU is getting shit proc rate, and only for 4~8mp each time. Haven't parsed it yet, might do that in next exp pt.
Guess ill have to look it up when I get off work >.< Stupid filters.Originally Posted by miokomioko

I recall in one of the many Chocobo raising news updates on PlayOnline.com there being a mention that some eggs would be more rare than others.
Now, Courser and Rounseys look pretty basic, not to mention Palfrey(aside from being blue) looks basic as well. Perhaps a foreseen high demand for the cute little green/rainbow Jennet chocobos and the big burly black chocobos(lol) called for them to make those two eggs only attainable through these fights.
Just an assumption, but I have a pretty good feeling that the ever-so-slightly different wording on the eggs (tricky, making the items have exact same names, and without a 'rare' tag) will have some bearing on your chocobo type. I know I want a Jennet, but that's beside the thread-derailing point.
Minions, did you get that 'Somewhat' egg from 'A Tough Nut to Crack' or 'A Call to Arms'? That seems to be the only one unaccounted for at present.
I've gotten a "Somewhat warm" egg from uncapped ISNM, the Puk one in Jade Sepulcher and the the Flan one in Navukgo. In fact, a somewhat warm egg dropped on almost every single fight.Originally Posted by Stromgarde
Hmm... that's weird. So then either of the two rarer eggs could drop from any of the 60 cap ISNM battles, but the drop rate is bizzarely jacked up.
Why not do it like Lamia No 13? Stay out of charmga range and Sleepga when the tank and DD gets charmed. Then just kite until they become uncharmed.Originally Posted by miokomioko
Otherwise, you run the risk of having one person uncharm before the others and getting owned.
4 runs of ISNM 60 "Making a Mockery" at Jade Sepulcher (mamool ja staging point) yielded:
1:
dexterity potion
polyflan
scroll of flood
choco egg
colibri feather
platinum ore
2:
dextery potion
polyflan
choco egg
colibri feather
platium ore
scroll of flare
mythril gear machine
3:
choco egg
colibri feather
mythril gear machine
chunk of platinum ore
strenth potion
bundle of homunculus nerves
light spirit pact
4:
scroll of flood
choco egg
colibri feather
agility potion
petrified log
deadeye gloves
orichalcum ore
Our pt was blu, blu, blu, rdm, war, cor. We just hugged the colibri and let us group charm us all.

Three problems with this. For one, the Colibri can haul ass. Also, the area for the fight is not kiting friendly. It's just a big circular area. Lastly, the Colibri hits like a goddamn freight train. You have a better chance kiting when charm wears off early and living then using Sleepga, because if your charm wears early, everyone else's is near guareteed to wear like 3 seconds later.Originally Posted by Khamsin

do these imps use Frenetic rip... planning on trying to learn it here.
Like any imp, INCLUDING THE Lv.55 ONES ON THE NASHMAU BOATsubtle hint, you're going to need to break their horn.Originally Posted by nekoshoonen

ENOUGH WITH THE PREVIEW
I was the RDM with Marissa's PT last night, so a few more things on Mockery:
1) The Colibiri ignored Gravity on my part. Maybe because of Magnetite Cloud from the BLU's. Pokes from my sword varied from 0 to around 45 damage (piercing).
2) It's darn near impossible to stun Wisecrack. I think we managed to do it...once. Maybe.
3) All DOT's cast by charmed PT members are erased immediately when you get Wisecracked.
4) The NM has a thing for Galka Sausage, he kept letting the Galka COR go before the rest of us and we'd beat him to death, or he'd drop the Galka tank the same way.
5) If you're a healer, keep Stoneskin/Blink up. When you uncharm, the bird has an annoying tendency to go straight for you. I literally came out of one hit/pecking barrage at 1HP after it ate my Blink and SS, and the first run I got dropped because it charmed out my Stoneskin cast and then pecked me to death after. Having two BLU's with Magic Fruit meant they could toss a heal or two while I rebuffed, which kept us all breathing.
6) Wisecrack is a TP move, randomly done. We had it open with Wisecrack and do it back-to-back at times.
I'd have to say our current strategy is pretty failproof. The only real variable is the length of the fight based on how lucky you are to have it spam Wisecrack every TP move.Originally Posted by Cythe
While fighting in the (VERY SMALL) BC area which is a mound of grass with water around it with a very short tunnel leading to it, and everyone is charmed. When one person uncharms early and aggro's the bird, the other 5 players will turn, stand there, engage, stand there, run after him/her. While charmed, I always hold a move button to run the hell away from the group and into the tunnel if I uncharm early because of that delay in charmed AI. Our NIN uncharmed early and she ran straight for the tunnel and by the time we got to the end of it to beat her ass, we uncharmed. When one person is early, the others are not far behind.
It must do something to remove the DoT when it uses Wisecrack because no matter what, I see that huge chunk regen every time I retarget it after full charm. However, if one person uncharms early or we all beat the shit out of some poor chap, the Colibri does not regen.
Only times we had deaths after the first attempt was when the RDM and MNK both ran in a circle when they uncharmed early, instead of a straight line. NIN tank requires very little curing at all if your melee can spam TP right before it charms to erase hate, so raising while still fighting was not a big deal at all.
5/6 on this with no problems, first loss was first attempt.
wowowow, ok so for this colibri...
THF NIN NIN BLM BRD RDMorWHM
one nin stays behind with the mages, the thf and the other nin fight the colibri. if colibri charms, nin2 heads in and takes hate, brd does horde on the thf, and blm sleepga's the nin. theres no regen from charm, and the birds not running around smoking others.
Is there a problem with the afforementionned strat ?!??!
Maybe I'm mistaken, but doesn't Sleepga/Horde Lullaby, when targeted on a charmed player, not hit other charmed players? I used Horde Lullaby on our 2-3 charmed tanks at Jailer of Justice and it would only hit one player at a time, so I don't know about this.Originally Posted by NynJa
P.S. The main point is that this ISNM is not hard, lol. Just go in with 1 tank, 1-2 mages, and 3-4 melee and it's cake, just don't be stupid. Fight on one end of the small BC so you can kite to the other if you uncharm early.
This is why both the BRD and the BLM are using AoE sleep spells on the designated persons... to wipe their shadows, and sleep them individually.Originally Posted by miokomioko
Charm can be dispelled.
Problem is, you need melee dmg. Not just 1 NIN tank soloing half the time.Originally Posted by Jeryhn
