Does anyone have any info on 'A Tough Nut to Crack' ?

Mobs in the ISNM or what setup you need to take?

Is there a problem with the afforementionned strat ?!??!
Maybe I'm mistaken, but doesn't Sleepga when targeted on a charmed player, not hit other charmed players? I used Horde Lullaby on our 2-3 charmed tanks at Jailer of Justice and it would only hit one at a time, so I don't know about this.

P.S. The main point is that this ISNM is not hard, lol.
This is why both the BRD and the BLM are using AoE sleep spells on the designated persons... to wipe their shadows, and sleep them individually.
Problem is, you need melee dmg. Not just 1 NIN tank soloing half the time.
    hello thief ?
    hello black mage ?
Not sure what the argument is anymore. If you want to try and spend 2000 IS to kill this thing in 30 min with just a THF and NIN meleeing while a BLM bounces nukes onto your tank, relying entirely on keeping pt members slept in the meantime... you're more than welcome to. Our strategy was 90% safe and our fights were about 5 minutes each.

If it ain't broke don't fix it, eh?

    BCNM: Tough Nut to Crack

Description: This ISNM requires 2000 Imperial Standing credits.

Item Drops: A Chocobo Egg also drops 100% of the time, although it is unknown which egg it is.

    Restriction: Level 60, 30 minutes, 6 members

    Zone: Navukgo Execution Chamber

    Start Item: Confidential Imperial Order

    Items
    Gobniu's Ring
    Strike Subligar
    Scroll of Aero IV
    Scroll of Maiden's Virelai
    Scroll of Carnage Elegy
    Scroll of Tornado
    Scroll of Flood
    Platinum Ore
    Adaman Ore
    Wamoura Cocoon

    Mob: Watch Wamoura

Anyone know what Wamouras are weak to? NIN or PLD tank would be best? Trying to get together a team for this ISNM.

    Concerning all these Chocobo Eggs...

Somepage has it listed in their database, but also said the .dat files contain 5 different eggs, all with the same icon and description (will verify with POLUtis when I get home tonight).

Through my own experience with .dat editing through a hex editor, I know you can go through the mob lists for each area and change the names (like as if you wanted to mark placeholders for certain NMs). Wouldn't it be possible to edit the item .dats so that the item descriptions read differently (such as applying a number system to the eggs)? If so, you could track which kinds of eggs drop in whichever BC, or even what eggs you're getting when chocobos lay them.

Need to find someone good at .dat editing. >.<

There are five different Chocobo Egg items; they have slightly different descriptions, so if someone looks closely, it's easy to see which one you have. At somepage, we've put the unique word in the description as part of the item name, to hopefully keep it as simple as possible.

How the fuck are you gonna tell me you kill it in 5 minutes when every time it charms its going to regen 50% of its HP back ?!?

you telling me that having one nin sit back to PREVENT IT FROM REGENING WHILE EVERYONE IS CHARMED is worse than spending time charmed, not to mention having it regen HP, AND risk someone dying from getting beat on by everyone...well I dont know what to tell you.

Ah, well I guess that takes care of it then, once people find out which eggs hatch different kinds of chocobos.

I just realized who I was arguing with, but regardless...

    Shut the fuck up.

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...ury/bctime.jpg

First of all: That 5min record was ours, which we did again but we were short by one second. I suppose I don't have the concrete proof, but we were the first ones to be doing this on our server as far as I know because there was no record our first attempt. This 8min clear time was the one time we had 2 deaths during the fight which slowed down our dmg due to a weakened monk's delay, notice the RDM, Phantom, is still weakened.

Second of all: Where did you get this 50% shit? Are you honestly retarded? For a full-pt charmga with no early uncharms, it will regatin about 15% maximum. This is a hefty chunk considering it's got a lot of HP and pretty good DEF (Raging Fists @ lv.60 does about 150~200 dmg with piercing hooks and normal hits will sometimes drop to 1~8 dmg) This along makes your THF as main dmg dealer idea retarded when people who've actually done this, unlike you, have had MNKs and BLUs as main DD.

Why are you arguing against people who've beaten this BC several times, I don't get it. I probably won't respond to you anymore, so good luck with your setup.

    WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU
YOU'RE A FUCKING PUPPETMASTER, THATS WHO YOU ARE

You laugh at the "LOLTHF DD", Hi, its a bird, IT TAKES EXTRA PIERCING DAMAGE (I'd assume it does atleast). Hi, its level 60 cap, that means that thieves get Assassin at that level, that means when people get charmed, and LOL THE HATE IS RESET, the thf can assist in putting back some hate on the tank.

Then again, you probably think the Colibri is high def and what not because you have your shit C ranked weapon.

You do it in 5 while letting it regen HP from charm downtime, I bet I can do it in three if I'm not wasting time jacking off to the colibri.

Do it in three with your setup and post a screenshot. Otherwise shut the fuck up and calm the fuck down. Reading your replies in the last two pages made my head spin. God damn.

He wasn't asking questions because he was having difficulty. He made one post earlier in the thread that stated his experience in 1 loss, and then followed it up with the changes he made and his experience in another. He was asking questions in an effort to possibly assist you before you attempt the fight.

    'Cept, you attacked him instead.

And before I "attacked" this puppetmaster, I offered insight as to how you can prevent someone getting gangbanged from getting uncharmed early, as well as attempting to speed up the fight since my strat alleviates downtime, yet this piece of shit attacks ME.

But thanks for telling me that I'm attacking him.

Hooks aren't piercing. All H2H weapons are blunt, except for Vampiric Claws which are .... actually I forget if they're piericing or slashing.

Not any kind of hooks though, they're all blunt.

You really need to read what the fuck you wrote in the previous pages, anyone would be offended by that shit if they were miokomioko. You "offered insight" without proof where as mioko's setup is proven to be successful and you continued to argue on how your setup can beat the fight within 3 minutes. And now from that post, you are trying to make yourself look like the victim. I think you should think before you type or else you're going to make a bigger fool out of yourself.

Really? Hmm, I was almost positive that the H2H weapons other than knuckles and cesti had like a 25% difference in dmg type. Something along the lines of:

    Cesti/Knuckles: Blunt 100%
    Claws/Baghnakhs/Sainti/Katars/etc: Blunt 75% Slash 25%
    Hooks/Avengers: Blunt 75% Pierce 25%

    I recall reading this, lol, I didn't make it up myself, but I assumed it was true considering I always seemed to hit much higher WS #s with my hooks on flying mobs. So that was all in my head? ; _ ;
