If you don't want to get price-raped...DO NOT BUY "NEW" STUFF. People with way too much gil / bought gil are going to pay extreme amounts for the first pieces. As a greedy asshole it is my duty to fleece them for all I can.

Before I left for work today I checked the AH on Seraph and the only 2 that sold, sold for 4 mil each.
I'll be waiting a while before I even attempt this. I'm not big on game induced headache.

This also makes me want to punch myself in the gutt for not picking the gloves first.

Ya, neither of those are dispel (they're finale and trunk!) and we only had a red mage. So I wore Osode and called when I got para. Wasn't so bad.

Was helping some friends out with BLU AF last night, I never landed a Dispel but the BRD landed Finale everytime so it's just dark resistant and not Dispel Immune :D

First, compliments to the chef is an orobon battle (big fish). There's another thread about it around here somewhere.

This is BG. The first 5-10 pages had useful information interspersed with flamewar between the JP midnights, and then when the information gathering was mostly finished we entered the "WHAAAAAA" phase. We can only be productive so long as there is something to be productive about.

Also, if there is another ISNM vs. a soulflayer that would be a very good place to look for easier robe drops.

That's pretty much what people are thinking right now. Most cloths/threads in the game can be obtained through both a desynth and a regular synth. People have just discovered the desynth and are now raping it because they know it can produce results (see: suicide). However, there HAS to be a regular earth crystal synth for this cloth as well... there is no way SE is that dumb.

It's only a matter of time before someone figures it out, and makes a nig load of money.

Anyway. The Robe only desynths with a Wind crystal. Most cloth-yielding desynths can be done with Wind, to get cloth, and Lightning, to get threads. For example, Antican Robe+Wind is Cotton Cloth, Antican Robe+Lightning is Cotton Thread. No lightning desynth likely means the cloth can't be synthed.

Which is why I believe the Soulflayer desynth to be the only source.

New patch, new information. You cannot immediately regard something that just came out as being "false" as I guarentee you that certain things have not been tried, at the very least not publicly.

If people are being redundant in their posts and are stating things that have been "proven" wrong again, big deal. I highly doubt that EVERYTHING that has been posted in this thread so far has been tried, and theres a slight chance that mentioning it again someone could read it and could get lucky.
I can think of more than a few examples where things that were "proven" wrong were actually right and came back to bite the people in the ass.
