After completing AF1 and taking the quiz again, I recieved this response. I'm not sure if he has always said this or it is related to AF2. This is the first time I've actually paid attention to what this guy has to say so forgive me if I am wrong.

Basically the guy suggests harvesting for an unexpected item in the woodlands or thickets.

He's always said...something. It depends on which serpent he sees. Skyserpent = go logging, Galeserpent = you're going to lose something, etc. That's the 'fortune telling' you pay for, or the game telling you 'LOSE! TRY AGAIN!'

-Ask for his Divination and you should get a cutscene with a Blue Mage.

I don't believe this to be a necessary step in the quest to the Immortal's Scimitar. I got this CS a couple of days before the update came out and was able to immediatly get the AF1 quest when I logged in after the update.

Also, I don't think it matters which option you choose when you say pick the "...", you should get the quest anyway. I think I picked the other option.

It doesn't matter what you choose. I chose the other option and was sent on my quest. Got hit by the 5 spells, talked to the NPC< got my sword (not a bad one, but not better than my Combat Caster +2 sword

Bleh, screw them, I had my guide up at 9 o'clock last night, it says that one wasn't up till 4 o'clock this morning, besides its easier because more people are frequenting these boards at the moment and looking for information, besides with all the BLUs running around it will be easier to compile information here and probably faster.

Also, that page was created ~10pm EST last night, not 4am. And I seriously doubt more people use these forums than the FFXIclopedia's wiki. There are over 100,000 (you don't need to be registered to view) people who use FFXIclopedia and growing.

That is exactly what a wiki is designed for. I shouldn't have to explain this here, but a forum is not exactly the best way for multiple people to collaborate on a single thing. This thread relies on you updating the top posts, where anyone, including you, can edit the same wiki page to create an excellent resource.

This should be about working together, not getting your name in lights for being the one to create a thread. Get over it.

About the community working together? That's exactly what we were doing here, last night I had people running around everywhere in game and people were posting in this thread trying to figure out how to trigger AF2, it seems like we were doing a good job before you came along.

Its not about me getting my name in the lighs, not all people give a shit about posts or fame around here, I'm just trying to help out for all the people asking questions, so you can pull your head out your ass and stop riding that train. No one seemed to be complaining and we were getting good information on the guide, until you decided to register to come to the thread and start linking to wiki and what not. If you want to help, help, if not, just leave. No one was complaining till you came your happy ass in here.

That's all I have to say to you, if people want to use wiki, they'll use wiki. If they want to post here and help out, then they will. But not everyone is as simple minded as you and is just doing this to have my "name in the lights". Because I could care less.

I'm not cranky about this, I just don't like people coming into the thread thats made for information and start throwing around insults and telling me how crappy the information is. If you didn't notice I was thanking people for information (including his) and was joking around till he started insulting me, so don't get on me about being cranky, when all I have been doing is focusing on getting people information about these quests. Just waiting for JP midnight to come aorund to see what happens.

No one said it was crappy. The term was "half-mis-information", which it was until you updated the top post. Don't get your panties in a bunch. I'm here to help, and I only linked to FFXIclopedia to help the spread of information. If I wasn't here to help, then I wouldn't have posted the info about how you could get the first CS you mention before the update, and how I didn't think it mattered if you chose the "..." or not. Chillllllllllllllllllll

IIRC, you were the one who did the attacking first by saying "bleh screw them". I think you'd be suprised if you gave it a chance.

And yes, I got a feeling it's either going to be a JP midnight thing or.... dare I say.... a tally thing on Sunday.

Surprised if I gave it a chance, I've been going to FFXIclopedia for a damn long time, and I've even donated to them, if you didn't notice I wa sjoking around that post.

Its not perfect, but like I said, 90% of the people who were getting this quest had never seen the 1st CS before, so I was under the impression that you needed to get two cutscenes, because no one had given me information that it was possible to get the first cutscene before the update, also, I've heard several people complain about picking an answer in the CS, and not getting the quest, so I really didn't know who to believe so I gave what worked for me and other people.

So stop being mean before I set your house on fire. Maybe my panties are bunched but that's because i don't like talking to guys who hump mooses (meese?) and ugly rdms at 9 in the morning.

And if we have to wait for conquest I'm leading a holy crusade against Square. I don't see what they set out to achieve by making us have to wait, do they think its going to stop crowding?
