BLU have shit evasion, who cares what the actual number is; if it isn't B or better, you're not evading anything of importance.

I do kinda find it interesting that blu mage af has 2 peices with + skill and a good amount of it. only af set ingame that does that thats af1 I think?

Also about the bhoots thing... those are atleast not nearly as gay as soulflayers but they can still wipe a pt, they easier to silence atleast and can dispel ice spikes

I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to say here... but RDM AF has nice boosts to skill as well. Body is +15 Enfeebling Skill, Hands + to Parry, Legs +10 Enhancing Magic Skill....

The BLU AF looks very similar to RDM AF to me in terms of stats. Not exactly the same, just similar.

They don't spam it, only seen it like once per few fights.. or you could probably manaburn it down without even touching it to give TP for the chance at the ws

Yeah I was looking at RDM AF and noticed a lot of similarities. And if I'm not mistaken, AF feet would bring our evasion to the equivalent of a B?

Though, correct me if I'm wrong, but neither hands nor feet would be worth a damn in exp, right?

    Homam doesnt blow.
It doesn't blow but my chances of getting them are impossible because they're much better on a tank.

Not till every tank and soon to be tank in your LS has a pair. So I wouldn't count on having them unless you already have em or plan on leveling pld.

Until then, republic subligar for the win.

Honestly, if your LS only gives them to PLDs... :/ They arent better on a tank, people just find it more beneficial to pimp out tanks in front of other deserving members. Only the hands should really be PLD onry. Feet are great for all of the jobs. lolhead (maybe BLU for MAcc... still shitty.) Body is best on DRG THF and BLU. Legs are best for PLD BLU and DRK.

That's exactly how my LS does it. I only wish I could play the PLD card for them lol.

imo for most cases crow legs > magus legs

Personally I use dusk most of the time, looking forward to getting some homam or crimson so I can sell the dusk though.

Galliard aren't too bad either, but my linkshell hates Kurrea....

RDM body is great, hat is awesome and legs are very good to swap in occasionally, gloves and feet are pure shit.

BLU AF is all pure shit except body which you'll swap in occasionally. BLU legs are decent while leveling (too bad I was 75 before the fucking thing even came out ) Overall, a very weak set. And the evasion means jack, I don't dodge shit with my NIN unless I go all out evasion gear, and thats as a mithra with more agi than god herself. Feather Barrier is useless and Warmup I doubt gives anything significant.

    Mambo ftw

And as for the AF1 with skill thing, brd AF has string on the body, singing on the hands and wind on the legs... oh, and parrying on the hat that I forgot about

Well, I wouldn't really call the BLU AF "pure shit," because as AF sets go, it really isn't that bad. Of course, my main before this was SMN, which has a pretty awful AF set...

But in any case, the hat really isn't that bad. INT and MND for nukes, healing, enfeebling, and whatever the hell else is affected by them. "Enhances correlation effects," while situational, is still a good thing. If BLM AF had "Enhances elemental weakness effects," I don't think anyone would be complaining. Yes, I realize some things like O-hat (which I don't have yet) and Walahra Turban (which I do have) may trump it, but I think the AF head looks cool, and I'm a sucker for looking cool. =/

As for the body, yes, it's probably most efficient to swap it in for spells, and then swap out to SH, Homam, what have you. But I'm not sure I want to have that many equip swaps over the course of a fight, popping in and out, mages unable to target... I know that as a mage, melee with tons of equip swaps can be troublesome at times (mages aren't really in the line of fire so it doesn't really matter in that case). And, of course, there's that looking cool thing again. Anyways, I'm still debating things; I'm not as attuned to the melee side of this game as I am to mage, so I still consider myself learning. I know that while farming Hysteric Barrage yesterday, in full AF (didn't go full DD gear because at one point I had a RDM/NIN skilling daggers helping me, so -Enmity ftw), against VT mobs, no food, I didn't really have any acc problems to speak of.
