I don't know I just can't get good people to dodge imps.. btw can anyone confirm if this map is right? http://www.koolaid-ffxi.org/linkshell/s ... ition+Duty I think there is another wall at the bottom of F-7...
We had the automaton do the 5-second countdown deal before, I think it's from when you get too far away from him. I had activated it from the NPC, and then he did the countdown, then said "Reacquiring Target" or something and started following someone else.

Also, Ryko posted above that it's a variable-reward mission, but I don't think that's the case. We couldn't win until we had destroyed every piece of wreckage (lost the first try because we didn't realize this, and couldn't find the last one until it was too late).

Edit: Found the line of dialog in POLUtils, it's actually, "Safety program has been shut down. New master profile registered."
Beat this mission today... there are more then 5 pieces of wreckage and Ryko was right on the money with that one It doesn't even tell you when you're supposed to go back to NPC to get the rune of release :/ But yeah, 5 walls are the minimum needed and there are more so it must be bonus only... What we did was just sleep all the imps while going to the ship.

I think it got killed and that's why the automaton shutdown itself... either that or the controller of the automaton died (it died at the shipwreck wall so it must have been killed).. Also if you give the automaton back to the NPC, the NPC will repair the automaton(i guess full HP)

Five walls are the minimum needed to win, and I'm almost certain there are exactly 5 pieces of wreakage in the zone (i.e. you have to destroy them all to win). True it doesn't unlock the Rune until you go back to the NPC, but if you go back with fewer walls demolished, the mission won't end. This is what happened:

First run we went in, demolished a few walls, someone d/ced, and we got split up. People started aggroing Imps, we went back to the NPC but the mission wouldn't end. We regrouped, someone found the undemolished piece of wreckage, but time ran out as it was being destroyed.

Second run, we stuck together, NIN WAR BLM BLM RDM SMN, I had the automaton. Myself and the other BLM stuck with the automaton, while the other 4 took care of Imps that got in our way. We covered every part of the map, starting in the southeast corner, then working our way up through the north parth, then west, then cut north to destroy the wall there (the one we had overlooked previously), then back south around the other boat, then north, then back to the ship. There were no additional pieces of Wreckage, and the Wreckage that we destroyed never regrew itself.

I'm not sure why you think there are more than 5 pieces, perhaps you saw one you had already demolished from a distance, and mistook it for one you had not.

Edit: Just checked the Monster/NPC list for this zone which further confirms that there are exactly 5 pieces of wreckage.

I think there's just one more because I went through the ship at F-9 and found another at the bottom of F-7 http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/index.php/ ... Atoll4.png

    Another very easy mission.

    Trio'd with nin mnk whm.

Light the 3 lamps at the same time (so split up). Locations are in SE corner, and other 2 are in SW side, just avoid the dragons.
Do you know what map this is on?

It doesn't matter anyway, I heard the switches change every time...if it helps there was one at E-7,G-10, and J-9(or J-11) for me

Also if no one noticed, ffxi-atlas has 10 maps of lebros cavern now yay for 10 ranks of assault.. but it's pretty convincing since there is 10 signs near Rytaal on the side of the wall ^^

Evade and Escape is like playing a Nintendo puzzle game. You have to sneak past the horrible rape monsters that walk a predictable path. And by sneak I mean MGS because they are true sight.

I doubt it's easy at all, they hit for 250+ damage very quickly, and even if you do kill one they probably repop like the Imps in the Destruction mission.. every 2 minutes. Probably not worth it!

yes they hit for 200+ and have a really high regen, can't gravity it with full enfeeb... so it would probably take a chunk of 5-10min to kill one

So it'd be best to just have somebody train it off and die in a corner and RR if they get agro?

Yeah if you do get aggro just die. Best way to go about it is to have everyone sub bst or rng for widescan so you have some idea of where the dragons are. They're not terribly hard to avoid, they move rather slow, and I had no problems outrunning them with herald gaiters so if you have any kind of +movement item you should be fine. They're also sight only, if you can get behind one they won't aggro unless you're with them too far and they turn around. And there are plenty passages to hide in until they go by.

And its been stated, but the switches pop at different places every time, and the dragon movements seem to be random as well.

You can do the assault without getting agro. Running away with them isnt smart because they will draw in. Just think of one of those shitty nintendo puzzle games, you have to run by it at the right time after seeing its path etc till you get to the end. You cant fight them or sneak/invis past them, and marathoning isnt too smart since they draw in and it screws up their pathing (its path got changed and it made it very harder to run by after that).
