Jody might be soloable. I was able to take it down to 55-60% barely managing as a Nin with 13% haste before I ran into some bad luck with Sweet Breath and a few DAs. With Thf sub and full eva gear it should be easy to kill, as long as you pull it off its general spawn area to remove its regen (helps a ton). 1/3 on Jet Seraweels, Scogan's Knuckles have been 3/3, maybe 100%?
Hm.. 0/12 on Jet Seraweels, 4/12 on KnucklesOriginally Posted by -Zer0-
pulling it away from its spawn area removes the regen? Me and a friend were fighting it for over an hour one time because regen wouldn't stop XD
EDIT: Also, I have never seen any of the Jody or PH use anything but Vampiric whatever
didn't get knuckles on mine so it isn't 100%![]()
yeah, when I duoed it with a thf friend, we fought where it spawned and it kept regaining health faster than we could do damage. With a 5 minute respawn timer, the 2nd ph popped nearby, so I pulled Jody away to the pathway to the south and was able to solo with ease until my friend caught up and killed it. I believe someone here has played around and did some tests with this. So, I can vouche for it working ˆˆ/Originally Posted by Kuponut

Vampiric Root
Vampiric Lash
Sweet Breath - Directional sleep

I feel like an asshole coming here to claim that I'm 1/1 on the Seraweels, but I'll do it anyway. I'm 1/1 on the Seraweels.
Only two times I've seen Jody it was off of the lower two in the area; I killed the one up top near the Puk anyway just in case.
I think a solid WAR/NIN can solo Jody, maybe with the use of a couple meds. You need consistent damage and the haste to control your shadows well, but that's about it. I only saw one Bad Breath in 3 fights (yeah, 3 because I've killed him twice and wiped once with 2 ppl that weren't solid WAR/NINs =p) so I think it's rather rare.

Hmm is it just me, or does it sound like :
Fight jodie in pop area, only uses Vamp root (1 tp move) but has an intense regen
OR
Fight jodie outside pop area, no regen but a plethora of TP moves
That's what it sounds like after reading a few of the posts.
I think it's just you Wafik![]()
The malboros in the area all have these moves but 90% of the time will use only one of the 2 Vampiric moves. The regen is definitely noticable if you stay on spawning grounds. Just watched a nin and rdm fight Jody on the path and all she did was Vampiric Root.
I am lead to believe, and am almost certain that, all Ameretats have a big regen trait unless pulled from their natural wandering area.
My RDM friend and I (BRD) were duoing them at Dampsoil area by pulling them to the cliff that drops to the Diremite room. We were about to feed the Dampsoil one time and wanted to kill the Great Ameretat that was next to it. We engaged. It. would. not. die. We had to sleep it, then run back to our camp to heal up and and wait for it. At the time we made the assumption that it was being near the Dampsoil that gave it regen, but, a few days later, I saw the same regen was on a Great Ameretat upstairs from the Dampsoil because I saw it was gaining % ticks of HP back while a group of 5 of us were whacking away at it. Probably a lot less noticable on regular Ameretats because how weak they are in the first place, but very noticable on higher EM~T Great Ameretats and extremely noticable on a NM.
You notice the time when you fought him?
Generally he spawns during the day. His regen goes away at night like the treant in Waj. Same with his nutty Def.
1/1 on pants![]()
When I killed that NM, the regen went away when wind weather disappeared, not when it turned to night. (It popped and died during the day.)
We pulled it outside of its pop area, but the regen didn't stop until wind weather ended.
I have killed this 6 times now, every single time, every single TP move was Vampiric Root. I fought it once in it's normal spawn area and the other 5 times down the very bottom in the "safe" path.
Only once has it had regen and that was the time i fought it in it's spawn area, but.. it did just magically disappear, so i don't know what controlls it.
But yeah any romours about having to move it away / tp moves in certain spots is bogus.
These are nice to have for 15 MP and some soloing since you wont have the -stats, but Mahatma Slops are better for the EXTRA epeen 1 INT!
Finally got Jaded Jody to pop not too long ago. Had 4 people helping me (I'm 75thf). Spawned around D-11/E-11. It is a lottery pop off the 3 Great Ameretats in that general area. Took about 3 hrs to spawn. Also, moving the PHs and the NM itself away from that area onto the "safe walkway" near E-11 disables the regen. Seems to do vampiric lash and impale a lot. The NM only did Bad Breath once and the rest were impales and vampiric lashes. It's about a Lv78 NM or so. Nothing too extremely difficult, but it does hit hard (hitting me and the nin for about 220-270 a hit none-criticals) and it is fairly accurate. It never spammed any tp move as where other people say it does.
5 min repop timers on the PH. Just keep killing the 3 Phs and it will pop eventually. Isn't camped on my server from what I saw or what my friend told me. Only 1 sold and 3 have dropped that I could tell from the AH. 10 mil asking price which is absurd (so not worth it, maybe 1 mil tops). As for the drop, only got the PUP hand weapon :/ 0/1. I want these for my blm >.>.
I'd definately agree it's a better solo piece, especially for RDM. 1INT most of the time won't make or break killing a mob with 3 or 4 nukes, so no real reason to have that extra INT.Originally Posted by Shinebox
I'm curious, was the nin by chance wearing arhats(+1) when he got hit or just melee gear? I was thinking of soloing this as either rdm/nin or blu/nin and wondering if thats possible.Originally Posted by Kiyara
He hits fairly fast which will be an issue if you solo. Don't bother kiting you'll have to straight tank him. If you want, pester me when you go and I'll kill any adds. Would be interesting to see. I have been itching to camp more but the friends that helped me get my legs aren't big on nm camping. If rdm could solo that's a good money-maker.Originally Posted by Gulkeeva

I watched a rdm/nin hold it for over 30 mins sleep/kiting while waiting for backup, he would nuke occasionally but then would pull it back into the spawn area so it regen'd very quickly. I left before his backup arrived, but he didn't seem to be having any problems with it.
If you just took it to the safe path in the middle of E-11 I think you could probably sleep > nuke. It would just take a while. I think there's 1 puk there however so you'd have a little extra challenge in avoiding/killing it.
The one time I watched a rdm/nin try to straight up fight a PH he got it to 50% or so and died, however the moron was using kraken so it spammed TP moves.
Just to add my stories with the NM. First time I saw it, I was heading to mamook on choco(no AC lol) and it was up unclaimed, I was on nin/whm and no one in LS seemed to care to come out so I tried to solo. Got it to 50% before I inevitably got owned. Second time I took a few friends with me on thf, and we got nothing to drop after 5 hours of killing PH's.
