We had a bit of bad luck with lag, and a dc, but he didn't seem to much tougher, just takes less melee damage, and hate was more fickle today. Anyways we wiped at 1% and a LS that can absolutely not kill him from 100% zerged, 2 houred, took and killed. They were kind enough to offer us the "money" drops![]()
Anyways they kept the sword, only one they will ever get most likely. Seriously does anyone actually kill him for anything other then the sword? Now there is a newbish DRK running around Lakshimi with a sword from 30 seconds worth of work.
That said we took him down to rage mode as fast as ever. He didn't seem to get really mad till about 10% when he started spamming GoH at a sickening pace.
Lot harder fight now >x
We had 10 gates of hades from 25 to 19% ^^Originally Posted by Victalyssa
From another LS fighting it and us doing it a couple times, I didn't see any kind of stun resist so that might be a myth. GoH is still not that hard to stun, only if you get three times in a row every 10 seconds, you're fucked.
Killed it today, We had absolutly no issues.. it actually seemed easier today then I have ever seen before. (Was our first time killing)
Only person who got resisted on stun was our nin/drk and it was only very rarely.
Gilsellers fighting on Odin, we'll see how easy it is for them![]()
To give you a picture of how it looks >> nin goes in and provokes, thf goes SA Dancing Edge~ tail hits thief until hate goes back to nin ;D
@90%..
lol I'd love to see Siren gil sellers attempt this. The best they do is Kirin.Originally Posted by Grim
It's at 22% on Odin right now; RMT still at it. They are horribly slow about damaging it. Basically they have 1 NIN/WAR in full damage reduced gear tanking it (without BRD), a decked out THF running all over the place SATAing it, then a bunch of SMN WHM and BLM spaced out. Hate is all over the place and it runs around like crazy. Scorching Lash is pretty weak and can't really wipe them.
Everyone backed off at 25% because we just assumed GoH would wipe the floor with them; however, they've actually stunned the last 8 GoH attempts - which is better than some of the LSs on our Server.
Also, one of the BLMs has another Novio in his bazaar for 90M; another BLM is actually using one...
Wow..Seriously, server migrate anyone? Your server is fucked up.Originally Posted by Kaeko
All servers will be like this in a few months. Anyway, people seem to be saying very different things in this pot, some notice a change in stunning and some don't! I guess the only way I'll personally see is by fighting it again. However, the whole having to throw more summoners at it in order to speed the kill up is pretty terrible.
Why more SMNs? We've used basically melee DD only since day one, yeah occasionally we add a SMN if we have the option for someone to come as one (usually they come BLM to stun, leaving the DD up to melee), but we've used as many as 4-5 melees at once on him. He dies so quick, TP spam isnt a big deal. And trust me, when you can kill Cerb from 25>>0% in about 1min, you really don't worry about the rest of your strat.Originally Posted by GavinBandura
I just dont get why everyone is making such a big deal out of this. This is how we setup.
Cerb > Tank/Tank
Melee
Mages/Mages/Mages
As long as Cerbs not moving, keep your 20 distance (oh come on..SOMEONE must have the plugin, just stay behind them) and curing, buffing, nuking, and stunning can all be done easily. I really think the issue lies with everyones tanks...and the mages pulling hate. No reason not having the wall should make a difference. Have someone help Curaga melees that get hit by Lava Spit, a BLM or WHM to -na melees that need it, and you're set.
RMT wiped, GoH got em.
The ls that killed had a 1218 Spirits Within(271%ish tp) and a 1400ish spirits(300%) on him, that's something new~
Other than the fact you cannot use the wall anymore, I don't think anything has changed on Cerberus. The RMT wiped at 20% to a couple GoHs, but even they could stun them pretty easily. They actually did survive a GoH wipe and recovered enough to get it down a couple more % before wiping again. Second time another LS just went ahead and took it after the wipe. LS that took it got Cerberus to 17% then they wiped to GoH. A third LS finally killed it after that about 15 minutes before the servers went down.
The RMT LS fighting it is known for 1 player controlling 4-5 characters at once - you can kind of tell because multiple characters never perform actions at the same time, it's always one after another - if 1 person on multiple computers can stun GoH reasonably well, I think the 'casting time' on GoH is still pretty reasonable for stunning.
Just curious, if his melee dmg becomes 75% resistant at the last 25%, does his magical resistance dissapear?
Anyone tested it?
It's actually easier to stun if you're multiboxing multiple stunners. You'll never overlap stuns and one will always be up
Seriously, depending on what you do, a single mind working with multiple accounts is sometimes more efficient than multiple minds![]()
Yeah, only noticable difference is the lack of wall.
It should be noted that lack of wall means your mages, including stunners, get paralyzed. Ulturation to Gates of Hades isn't fun when you have an order going on.
No stun resists for me on RDM/DRK or anyone else in my LS.
Hydra on the other hand ...
We fought him as well yesterday didn't seem to resist stun. Actually died faster with me and the other rdm/drk keeping dia III on it. We had 3 other blm's and one rdm/drk stun order( I was freelance). We never used the wall in the first place didn't really have any issue's no GoH usally got off. but sometimes lag and disconnects have messed us up before.
We killed it on Seraph yesterday and while we haven't exactly fought it a dozen times before (2nd kill) we only saw 2 major differences, no more wall and it started off with a certain physical damage filter up (SATA WS doing 300-400 instead of 1k+). This filter was probably there since BtL fought it earlier yesterday, and it wore off after fighting it for awhile, it just made the fight last longer than it would have normally been.
I think it got off 3 GoH off out of 30 attempts, and those were because it moved a couple times, getting out of optimal (no para) casting range. So either our stunners were on fire or it wasn't any faster than normal.
Someone told me this was mentioned already but Spirits Within does more damage on him for whatever reason. Typical 300TP spirits for me at ~1950 HP is roughly 900 damage. My spirits near the end of the fight on Cerb did 1218 damage and I was at 280ish% TP.
I didn't notice too much of a difference in him otherwise though as far as the "rage" mode and whatnot. It had more spurts of trying to cast a bunch of gates back to back I guess, but didn't seem too far off from how he is usually.
