Just ran into zoraal :X
About zorral ja's pkuuchu:
Low resistance to sleep. Out of about 15 or so sleeps I only got resisted once.
Uses a weaponskill called 'snatchet morsel' that steals your food buff (I'm not sure if it's a regular colibri ws, only ever fought them once before).
Does not resist slow. I was afraid to try out paralyze and blind as it was a colibri, so I can't say if they land. Probably does though.
Hits a a 75 RDM with 480 defense and phalanx, -16% physical dmg for about 45 ish non critical.
Easiest way to solo it i found was to melee it (that reflect thing makes sleep nuking difficult), but to cast a single target sleep1 once stoneskin wears off, to recast stoneskin. Then blink up and cast barsleep, and hope the reflected sleep doesn't get through. If it does, recast sleep and repeat. This step probably wont be necessary if you are /nin. At the time i was farming and was /thf, so i had to do this.
Zorral himself:
At about 30% ish zoraal got summoned, and restored the pet to full HP. Actually, I thought he was the actual pet (had no idea about this NM before) so i stayed focused on the bird while trying to sleep zoraal. BAD IDEA.
He seems to have 100% immunity to sleep, so I got fucked up badly.
He was hitting me for about 70-100 dmg each. although my fish kebob wore off and phalanx was probably gone too. So chances are it only hits about 60ish.
I could land slow on him. Even w/o that he hits pretty slowly, his colibri was hitting me 2-3 times in between each of his swings.
Next time I run into this guy i'll win, i'm sure . Probably by sleeping the bird and kiting zoraal with bio3 and poison 2(if it lands). Just need the proper SJ next time. :D
yup that's a normal colibri wsUses a weaponskill called 'snatchet morsel' that steals your food buff (I'm not sure if it's a regular colibri ws, only ever fought them once before).
edit: "Snatch Morsel"
Well me and some friends ended up wandering around for over 7 hours last night in Arrapago Reef killing basically everything in the zone trying to get a Lamian Claw Key. No dice. We killed Soulflayers, we killed Qutrub, we killed Lamia Idolaters, we killed Nix Songstresses and IT Merrows, we killed 3 Archaic Mirrors and 6 Lamia Palace Guards, we killed the Bhoot a few times, we killed Apkallus, some Jnuns, bunch of Imps (Seneschal and Heraldic), i don't know.
Something in that fucking zone has to drop this damn key.
On a side note, we almost killed Lamie No. 9 with 6 people. We found that his avatar has very low HP, we killed it in about 1 minute (why not, you can't sleep it anyway lol). It didn't ersummon the Avatar until about 50% HP, but when it resummoned it it used Astral Flow instantly and wiped us (perhaps this is a key to how to beat it with few people. When he does SMN animation everyone run away except the person with hate, that person only die). Without its Avatar this NM is easy as shit.
Halvung Brass Key drops from trolls outside Halvung.
Mamook Blackscale Key drops from Mamool Ja outside Mamook.
Maybe Lamia Claw Key drops from the Lamia by Dvucca?

Seems to be the common drop on the new NMs :\
I'm sure his strategy has been posted, but he is kind of annoying, just low HP it seemed.
-Bindga
-Aeroga 3
-Runs from you, which links a lot of shit
Can get Halvung Brass and Bronze keys from true sight Trolls, and Moblin Billionaires drop Halvung Shakudo keys 100% of the time.
Did you try killing Qiqirn?
can anyone give a pos on big bomb? is it really I-8 second map? somepage says f7
No, we didn't try killing any Qiqirn. Things to try when we go back:
- Killing Qiqirn
- Finding the non-NM Lamie mobs in Arrapago Reef. My suspicion is that these actually don't exist, but somepage says they do. Lamie Deathdancer, Lamie Bellydancer, Lamie Necromancer, and one other. Note it shows that there are Lamia mobs with the same names, but it specifically says these exist too. My guess is that either they don't exist yet, or that they are spawned by Medusa though. In any case, it's an unknown.
- Killing Lamia by Dvucca Isle Staging Point.
- Killing Lamia behind the locked Iron Gate. Unfortunately the only way to test this is to first lose Beseiged to the undead swarm, as I don't think there is any other way to pass that gate.
I think there are Lamie near where the AC BCNM is... behind the gate. I remember killing some while trying to get it back, but can't recall exactly where.
I doubt they're the ones that drop the Claw Key, unless SE messed up the loot pools.
edit: I think they were on map 4.
Yea, unfortunatel you can't get to that area unless you've lost the AC. Only when you lose the AC do mobs start dropping the key items that let you get behind that door. In Mamook though, the mobs by the BC drop Blackscale keys, so it wouldn't be too far fetched.Originally Posted by Kurp
Yes, I-8 on the second map.Originally Posted by Slott
should be able to just kill the lamia in caedarva around the qutrub camp - after all you can get the blackscale from the merit mamools outside, it stands to reason you could get the equivalent from the lamiasOriginally Posted by divisortheory
