This guy must be a samurai as mainjob. Even with alot subtle blow, he would always do a TP move (and pop 2 chigoes) when I only had around 70% TP

I was only able to solo it on THF because first 1 NIN died trying to solo it (got it to 95%), then a full lvl73+ party with PLD tank died, they also used Invincible etc (Got it to 50%).
So I started solo-ing it around 50%, had to use Perfect Dodge at about 20%, and managed to win with 400HP left.

Any idea of a <pos> on No. 19? I'm eager to camp it, but really would like to avoid wandering aimlessly around Arrapago for 4 hours like I did on release day. :\

Last night when some friends and I were killing Soulflayers, I died. As soon as I went down everyone in the party got an odd message in the log. I can't remember exactly what it was, but something similar to 'You feel a forboding presense.'

I haven't heard of that before, but I'm assuming it might be related to Lamia No.19. I forget what the position of the camp we were at, but it's the area with 6 Soulflayers, east of the Ilrusi staging area.

Jaded Jody the new Morbol nm spawns in Waj woods. Found it wandering around the D-11, E-11 Area. Somepage has this http://ffxi.somepage.com/itemdb/8789 listed in its database. It didn't drop it though, just an earth crystal. It spams Vampiric Root. 4 killed it easy.

I got a Jody's Acid on a normal Ameretat in Wajaom, not even a Greater one. Did you find Jaded Jody up or did you see it pop ? Maybe the Acid is made to pop her if there's something to trade it to. Other than that, i don't have any clue on what it would be used for.

Goddamnit, I should have stayed around later. When I saw that person die in the other party that was there camping, but didn't see her pop, I figured we weren't in an area where she spawned. Oh well.

Guy in my shell who actually spotted it is at work atm. As far as I know he was just passing by and it was up, I'll have to ask him if he knows more when he gets home. When we originally pulled it, it opened with a TP move. Made me think someone had already died to the thing, so he may not even know either. Sorry.

Edit: Talked to shellmate, he said he just found it up already. He thinks its a lottery off the other Morbols around. Currently there are 3 regular mobs up, yesterday there were 2 + the NM.

We tried to pop Lamia No.19 just for fun while camping Soulflayers too. We were at the camp with 4 Soulflayers right in the middle of the eastern map (can't pull up ffxi-atlas.com right now to look up the position).

Anyway, we got the message about every other time someone died. I died about 6 times in a row trying to spawn it, but no dice ... we also tried various other things on the dead person when we got the message like tractoring them around, leaving them dead for a while, or just standing by them. Not sure whether it was just random that we didn't get it to spawn, or if someone killed it earlier, or if we weren't in the right area.

On Monday, however, a friend of mine accidently popped it ... on his first death too I think. I'm not sure what part of the map it was in though.

I got the forboding presence message last night when someone in another pt died at the first map soulflayer camp. Based on an earlier report, she randomly pops unclaimed on a fresh corpse and depops in a few seconds if not claimed. So maybe the message without spawn means she was killed in the last 2 hours, or maybe she was currently up and being fought somewhere else. Either would make sense considering the soulflayer camping.
